25.01.2022 Mountain Gate Therapy Centre is happy to announce that they will be opening up on Monday the 11th of May 2020, for business and taking bookings for Myotherapy and Remedial Massage. All my regulars please contact me by text and I will book you in. We will be complying with the COVID-19 rules and will be taking precautionary measures to keep you all safe. 25.01.2022 Mountain Gate Therapy is following this advice: As advised by the Premier in his press conference yesterday, until the numbers come down, industries will not be able to safely reopen without risking a potential third wave. It appears no commitments about reducing restrictions are being made until the numbers decrease further. The Department of Health have not yet stated under what step massage will be allowed to re-commence practice in metropolitan Melbourne, but with Stage ...4 restrictions having been extended by two weeks we interpret the announcement as being that massage therapists will be forced to follow the current guidance (your client must be on an approved care plan and considered critical) until 28 September 2020 at the earliest. (The 28 September date is predicated on metropolitan Melbourne maintaining an average daily case rate of 50 or fewer cases over a 14-day period with public health advice regarding transmission source.) We understand it is frustrating for all concerned, but we must adhere to directions issued. The Association continues to advocate on behalf of all massage therapists and myotherapists in Victoria. As soon as the Association obtains clarity on when non-critical care-plan-approved treatments can resume we will update you.

19.01.2022 Due to the COVID-19 Mountain Gate Therapy is ensuring they stay familiar with the Governments guidelines to continue to work when it is safe to do so and ensu...re your health and those around you is the first consideration The client's informed consent will address the risk factors associated with COVID-19 and will ask clients how they are feeling, have they been unwell and have they presented any symptoms When a client is booking, and when they present for treatment we will consider the following: Has the client traveled internationally recently? Do they present any symptoms? Have they spent time with anyone who is confirmed to have COVID-19? When a client arrives for treatment we will re-iterate the question and ask them if they have been overseas If they have, we will ask them when they landed in Australia, and from what country, this determines the risk levels you are exposed to We will politely ask clients to cancel and reschedule the appointment for 14 days following arrival back into Australia from any international country We will politely ask clients to re-attend their treatment once it is appropriate to do so.
