25.01.2022 What an epic project this was, the Living Landscapes project with Landcare Australia and Bundanon Trust. We were privileged to be the primary contractors on this great project, planting over 50000 trees in total at Bundanon and Eearie Park on the beautiful Shoalhaven river. It makes our hearts burst to see all these babies grown up! #environmentalcontracting #mountainecholandsape... #plantatree ... @bundanontrust It is hard to believe that these two photos were taken in the same location. In seven years, approximately 25,000 trees that were planted to regenerate Eearie Park have become established. The first photograph was taken this week, and the second in 2015 (swipe ) just after planting finished.

25.01.2022 Now is the time to get stuck into all those #gardenmaintenance jobs! The warmer months are well and truly here and its all systems go

24.01.2022 Striking image of a recently burned tree, exposing its vascular tissue, the xylem and phloem. A trees vascular system carries water and minerals from the root...s up to the leaves, and photosynthesized food back down to the rest of the tree. Interesting fact: Trees have no muscles (or nervous system) so all of this movement is powered by turgor pressure, which is controlled by stomata in the leaves that open and close as needed. 21.01.2022 Had to post this one

20.01.2022 Our little farm gate trailer is open for business! While currently we dont have produce such as fruit & veg for sale, we do have a growing range of plants. The past few weeks have been stressful to say the least. Out of control fires spreading across the country. No rain. The climate crisis has come much sooner than predicted, and its come with a vengeance. Our government has and is failing to make the changes needed.... So its up to us more than ever! Small changes are good changes! These thoughts inspired me to open up our farm gate stall a little earlier than planned. Were offering endemic plant species for sale, grown from locally sourced seed and propagated in our on site nursery. Each tree has the power to create change!, reverse climate change and create habitat for local wildlife. Were also donating half of the sale of each plant to our local RFS. Were located on Coolangatta Rd just out of Berry. (please pull over and park thoughtfully on side of road )

20.01.2022 Yesterday we ended the working year with a splash! Venturing way out of our comfort zone, taking our feet and hands out of the soil and into the ocean. I really cant recommend Woebegone Freedive enough. Dylan and Lara very quickly put all our fears to rest and led us on such an exhilarating adventure. Their passion and knowledge of the ocean is infectious and inspiring. Ryan, the Mountain Echo crew, and I couldnt be more grateful Were already planning the next adventure with Woebegone Freedive! https://www.facebook.com/woebegonefreedive/

09.01.2022 Beautiful day planting at @mountainridgewines yesterday with over 200 trees, shrubs and ground covers going in

09.01.2022 This week we planted over 100 trees, shrubs, climbers and ground covers. This month we sold over 700 local native trees to Landcare for re-vegetation. We have over 3000 native trees in our nursery for re-vegetation. We can all make a difference. ... Let us know what you are doing to be the change. #bethechange #combatclimatechange

09.01.2022 It's been a tough couple of years for gardening. Drought, heat waves, fires, heavy dumps of rain. These are now some of the 'normal' considerations needed for plant selection in our landscape designs. A year on and this garden design is really taking shape and has settled in nicely with careful planning and attention to the details. #gardendesign #plantselection... #mountainecholandscape See more

05.01.2022 Future forests We have so many babies in the nursery right now! All these endemic trees and shrubs are destined for great things... carbon sinks, habitat, food, homes for wildlife. Planting trees is one of the biggest and cheapest ways to tackle climate change. For over 15 years now we have been working with #landcareaustralia, #landcareillawarra and private landholders to grow our forests, this year we will be pushing even harder to rebuild and heal the damage caused by ...the #bushfires. #mountainecholandscape #mountainechonursery #plantatree #plantaforest
