25.01.2022 Tomato seedlings galore! I'll write something about the varieties later. All organic and all hardened off - get the season going! Important notice: I am not here on Saturday morning. The two power sellers will attend you - just don't ask anything about plants or gardening!

24.01.2022 My ashwagandha (withania somnifera) survived winter!! Between dead-looking stalks, there are new green shoots. Id did not survive last year though, we're in a frost hollow and maybe I did not mulch enough. I really hope for seeds forming this year! Therefore I can sell a few (!) advanced plants I overwintered in the greenhouse ($12 each). First come first served.

19.01.2022 Tomato Seedlings priced to garden! Here are the tomato varieties: 1. Whipper Snapper: cherry tomato perfect for baskets and container gardening, early, sprawls on the ground. 2. Northern Ruby: early prolific paste type, bush. 3. Amish Paste: Needs staking and is good for cooking and salads, good yield.... 4. Another heirloom variety, over 100 years old, high yielding medium-sized fruit, needs staking. 5. Tigrella: this is my preferred one because it is so dependable. Bright red with orange stipes, high yields even in cool summers, great flavour, needs staking. 6. Camp Joy: heavy bearing cherry tomato, needs staking. all tomatos are $3.50 or three of the same variety for $9. (cash or bank transfer) 7. Bean seedlings blue lake for $1.50 each 8. Zucchini Black Beauty. Note: I'm not here this Saturday morning - non gardeners will sell! See more

18.01.2022 Did you build your orchard enclosure yet? It's probably a good idea!

17.01.2022 I think all alliums are edible, but most people loath this weed!

17.01.2022 I've updated my stocklist, there are so many more plants available now! The stocklist does include ornamentals. Probably lots of typos...https://mountainherbs.com.au/stocklist/

16.01.2022 Yacon plants available, atm very few only! Maybe I have more later though. $8 each. Grow something edible!

15.01.2022 This guy is awesome! Although I would not like to cook for that long...

13.01.2022 Don't tell that I'm untidy, but I found a whole tray of elecampane (Inula helenium) plants in my nursery...So good! Here's the tincture and it is easy to make (if you can boil an egg you can make a tincture). I know, you harvest the root, but you simply replant the crown of the root and the plant keeps giving. https://mountainherbs.com.au/?s=inula

13.01.2022 Crose, gourmet tubers, nice in stirfries. Also called Chinese artichoke (another artichoke which is not an artichoke at all, this time a member of the mint family - let's stick to the Latin name: Stachys affinis). Available at Mountainherbs, $6 a plant. BTW other stachys are medicinal, how is it with this plant? https://mountainherbs.com.au//crosne-chinese-artichoke-st/

10.01.2022 Tomorrow, Saturday 6/11 the boss (me) is away and is replaced by absolutely great sales staff. All is well just don't ask anything about plants or herbs!

10.01.2022 As promised there's more. Get a special price for buying a multiple of each plant and get lots of flowers! Prices are similar than in previous post, all plants listed in marketplace too - or simply drop in, that's the easiest. There are: aquilegias, lychnis viscaria splendens (photo) echinacea, giant Turkish plantain (plantago major, pretty and useful), thalictrums, fringe cups, veronica longifilia, potentilla Mrs. Willmott, sea thrift and rudceckia with a yellow center.

08.01.2022 I need space to pot up some new medicinal plants. Therefore I make a super special for mass planting on sea thrift, rudbeckia and lychnis chalecedonia. (bright red flowers). Sea thrift 1 for $6/3for $ 15 amd10for $ 40. Rudbekia (the yellow centered black eyed susan) and Lychnis: 1 for $4, 3 for $ 10 and 10 for $ 35. Strictly first come first served!
