20.01.2022 As Christmas Day draws closer our team have started to relax as our busy period is now over. It has been a very busy 2020. I don't think anyone could have predicted the year that we have had with bushfires, flash floods and, of course, the pandemic. This has been one of the busiest years for Mountains Care. - As to be expected with the pandemic our Street Teams projects were reduced due to health reasons. We still managed to assist 6 families with yard work. - We have give...n out 105 food hampers for families in need. - Provided 161 Christmas hampers - Provided 50 Christmas presents to assist families trying to make ends meet - Donated 60 treat packs to nurses working at the Nepean COVID testing grounds - Gave out 8 HSC study packs - We've partnered with DV West in the Upper Mountains to provide them with non-perishable food hampers every 6 weeks so their refuges are stocked with essentials - We've donated 40 items per week to Hands and Feet Blaxland to help with their weekly food drive - Lastly, and certainly not least, we have assisted a mum with cancer with her children's weekly clothes washing. We are so thankful to everyone who has donated to us this year with time or monetary donations. Our community in the Mountains is incredibly generous. We cannot do this without you. So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts & we wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

20.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful Mums in our community. We hope you have an amazing day!!

19.01.2022 Our August appeal to 'Stock the Storehouse' is drawing to a close. It is not too late to return a box of donated non-perishable items. You might be wondering 'what does the August Appeal actually help with?'. Your donated items go towards a broad range of services that we provide in the Blue Mountains. Here is a summary of how your donation can help: - Food hampers go out each week for households who need a little extra assistance due to a number of factors such as illness, b...ereavement or job loss - Mountains Care also donates non-perishable items weekly to the incredible initiative 'Hands and Feet' in Blaxland. The Hands and Feet team provide fresh food every week to households. - Your non-perishable donations also help us to prepare for the Christmas season as we give on average 130 special Christmas hampers to households. If you would like to know any further details about how to donate or how to pick up a box for donations please message our page or call 4720 6118. Someone from our team can even drop a box to you and pick it up once you have filled it with goodies!
