17.01.2022 The rates of STIs among Australian men have been on the rise. The data shows that between 2008 and 2017, rates of gonorrhoea among men increased 4 times, while ...syphilis tripled and chlamydia doubled. Men should be proactive about carrying and using condoms and taking regular STI tests, whenever they have a new sexual partner, they have unprotected sex, or if the condom breaks. If you are due for a test, use Men’s Health Week as your reminder to get tested! #MensHealthWeek #STIs #MensHealth #SexuallyTransmittedInfection #Chlamydia #Gonorrhoea

14.01.2022 The Morrison Government is committed to supporting youth mental health, which is why Im pleased to announce that headspace Katoomba is now open. One in four pe...ople aged 16 - 24 experience some form of mental illness every year. Three-quarters of all mental illness in Australia is experienced by people under the age of 25. The Blue Mountains community have been advocating for this outcome for some time, especially local support services like Mountains Youth Services Team, Gateway Family Services and Platform Youth Services + Katoomba High School - Official. Importantly, weve made sure that local young people have been at the very heart of designing this new mental health service through consultation sessions, surveys and roundtables. Proud to deliver on this election commitment alongside Parramatta Mission and Wentworth Healthcare (Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network).
