22.01.2022 Note that The Maldon Neighbourhood Centre’s Climate Ready Maldon project is here to help with getting homes ready for extreme summer heat and the extreme winters that follow. Local volunteers will be working with Maldon households to assess the thermal comfort of their homes and create an Action Plan with suggested improvements. Every participating household will receive a $50 voucher! For more information contact the Maldon Neighbourhood Centre on 5475 2093 or [email protected]

22.01.2022 Opportunity to join, or simply find out more about, an exciting housing collective. Members of the Victoria St Collective, a building project managed by Property Collectives, will be building 10 fantastic eco-apartments designed by Zen Architects, next to the Westwyk eco-village in Victoria St, W Brunswick. Our Victoria St Collective currently has 8 members and, as we have now submitted our Town Planning Application, we are now seeking two more partners to join us.... We and, our project managers Property Collectives, are hosting an information session on Monday 24 August, 5.30-7pm (via Zoom of course!). The information session is free, but registration is essential here: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/victoria-street-collective-

10.01.2022 Hi! I am searching for a room or granny flat at a community or house that would benefit from my calm, patient presence. Open to different exchanges including cooking, gardening, house care, computer help, photography, conscious movement/dance, money etc. I will visit Castlemaine Friday 31 July if you'd like to meet. I choose Castlemaine because on each of my visits I feel a warm fit with your beautiful community. I am a non-smoking researcher-designer-facilitator. Profile and... references at http://tinyurl.com/houseming Preferably, the place is within about 10 minutes' bicycle ride of the train station and is available soon as my house sit in Woodend ends 4th August (earlier than originally planned). If it's not available soon, let's still talk as perhaps something can be arranged. Grateful to be connected to someone who may have space, you can Facebook private message me or call 043 503 0275.

03.01.2022 The ATHA has informed us of a new pilot program code for 'Secondary Dwellings' for four lcouncils in Victoria Greater Bendigo, Murrindindi, Kingston and Moreland. From August 2020 until March 2021 the pilot program will allow applications for a permit for a Secondary Dwelling on a property. This would seem to open the gate for the tiny house sector to spread through other councils, such as MAS! Read more here https://www.planning.vic.gov.au///secondary-dwellings-code
