22.01.2022 A lovely easy ready about the benefits that yoga can bring to alpine sports... A simple practice can really change your skiing/boarding for the better http://www.yogajournal.com/arti/cross-training/yoga-skiers/

20.01.2022 Preparing to hit the slopes? get ready with some easy yoga postures that will build strength flexibility and help minimise those first few days of muscle soreness. Each day this week we'll explore a different posture that is easy to practice at home beginning with Chair Pose or Utkatasana. This posture is a deep strengthener for the arms and legs while focusing on the powerful breath. This position is almost similar to a downhill skiing position, with the exception of having arms overhead. How to Perform: Stand tall with feet together. Inhale, raise arms overhead and exhale the hips back, similar to a squat position. Engage the core and hold for 30 to 60 seconds whilst breathing deeply and smoothly through the nose.

01.01.2022 Want to know what to expect in a class from Mount Buller Yoga? Here's a little idea to get you in the mood to get bendy... Sally's classes are vinyasa (or flow) style yoga with an emphasis on creativity and alignment. Classes are inventive, ever changing and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending and inversions. You will be guided by a steady breath to tone and calm the mind. These flow classes will make you stronger and more flexible on the outside and softer on the inside. Expect to be taken on a journey with the tools Sally has learnt over the years including chanting, meditation and her use of Tibetian singing bowls. Sally's vinyasa classes have clear instructions making them suitable for all levels from beginners all the way through to the serious yogi.
