25.01.2022 The rain has stopped (at least for a while). We have lots of books for kids, a few colouring-in books and books for teens and grown-ups. Kids DVDs too! Remember: you dont need to exchange a book - feel free to take a book and then pass it on to share with others. Located at 15 Anstead Place, Mount Crosby - toward the end of the cul-de-sac. Stop by anytime!

24.01.2022 The roof base is now finished and the screw/nail holes filled. Next will be some more sanding and silicone application to seal the joins.

15.01.2022 Happy Christmas! There are currently lots of free books for kids of all ages available in the library. Great holiday reading and no need to return books. Always open and located outside 15 Anstead Place, Mount Crosby

14.01.2022 Firstly, off go the doors. The glass inserts will be replaced with clear Perspex for safety. Next, a roof base is being added. Still some more work to do here before this part of the job is done.

13.01.2022 The little library is nearing completion with the roof finished, post concreted in and cabinet mounted. Doors now need one more coat of paint and hinges, knobs etc fitted, followed by a few touch ups. 03.01.2022 Our street library is coming together now! A coat of paint and a spot picked out for the mounting post. Still some work to do. Next will be another coat of paint (or two), and making the tin roof

02.01.2022 Already very popular in the USA, little street libraries are becoming more popular here in Australia too. Our family has decided to join in and create our own little library. When complete, it will be a little place to borrow and exchange books, suitable for all ages. We will also be registering with Street Library Australia once our project is up and running. Hubby will be repurposing a solid timber kitchen cabinet!
