25.01.2022 Happy Birthday Mrs O’Hare Have a great day! Thanks for all you do for MEPS Happy Birthday Mrs O’Hare Have a great day! Thanks for all you do for MEPS

25.01.2022 A poem for our students... (We can't wait to see you back Years F-2 on Tuesday 26/5 and Years 3-6 on Tuesday 9/6) BACK TO SCHOOL TODAY... by Stephanie Mulrooney I wake up with anticipation tickling on my skin, Excitement builds inside me, it's so hard to hold it in! I look at my reflection and I grin from ear to ear. The day that I've been waiting for...yes finally, it's here! It's time to read and write again, to think and laugh and play. I've missed my friends so very much since we have been away. I think of all the fun we have, the silly jokes we share, I cannot wait to see them all, I can't wait to be there! So why do I feel butterflies deep down within my core? Why do I feel nervous, and reluctant, and unsure? What if I've forgotten all the things I'm meant to do? What if things are not the same as what I thought I knew? I enter the familiar grounds, the memories returning, Happy thoughts of special times, of friendship and of learning. There's a bustle in the playground as the children dash around, Oh, how I've missed that cheerful n noise, it's such a joyous sound! I turn to see my teacher smiling at the classroom door, I know at once that there's no need to worry anymore. A giant grin lights up my face, I think it's fair to say That I am simply overjoyed to be back at school today!

22.01.2022 Our students have had a wonderful morning connecting with their peers during our Talk-and-Walk-A-Thon this morning! They have discussed shared interests, shared experiences, shared ambitions and shared beliefs. It was so good we plan on making it an annual event! A huge thank you to the Parents’ Association for covering the cost of icy poles for every student - the students were very happy about that little surprise to finish the event! #peersupportaus

We are sharing the video with you as you may find the information helpful in minimising some of those challenging moments we all experience. 11.01.2022 A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAPLAIN... I have a friend who posts a weekly ‘silver lining’ event on his Facebook page. He’s usually a positive person but his work has changed dramatically and he’s struggling. Lately he has been intentional about viewing life from a positive perspective. And guess what? He manages to find more than one silver lining a week! What about you? Are you noticing the silver linings? When we’re feeling overwhelmed and challenged it can be hard to appreciate t...hings that are good. I encourage you to make a deliberate attempt at naming those moments. Those times when you breathe a sigh of relief. Remember them and name them. You might like to do a weekly silver lining chart for the fridge! Or a gratitude jar. Decorate a jar and write down things you’re grateful for (your silver linings) on small pieces of paper. Put them inside the jar and watch the jar slowly fill. Take time to read these. Focusing on the good can improve our mental health and decrease stress. Share your silver linings with family and friends (through video chat) Or, if you’d like to share your silver linings I would love to hear them. [email protected] Hope you have a good week. Take very good care, Andrea
