24.01.2022 Some Friday inspo! I have this quote pinned up in my bedroom and it is something I think about all the time. The sentiment helped a lot when I was starting @mounthenryhoney!

21.01.2022 Hot days call for peppermint honey tea parties in the shade of the Weeping elm.

21.01.2022 I think this is the greenest it’s been going into summer since we moved to Mount Henry five years ago. Gosh we’re lucky to call this place home. I love this view down the Mulgoa valley.

20.01.2022 Eeeeveryone loves Corymbia ficifolia... aka red flowering gum. Tilly is especially partial.

18.01.2022 We’re thrilled our honey and dipper, Chai time hampers and trio packs are proving to be popular gifts this Christmas. As pictured, any order made in the lead up to Chrissy can be gift wrapped - just add a note at checkout. If you’re ordering a hamper we are also including a Mount Henry Honey card, which we can leave black, or inscribe for you. We love wrapping, and knowing our honey and goodies are going out to you, or loved ones! The honey and dippers are also popular as teacher gifts!

18.01.2022 The wonderful team at @chai_walli recently did their very own honey tasting, sampling all three of our current varieties. We always LOVE hearing which honey people like best, and in their case is was Grey gum! Honey is currently pouring out of our hives so we will be announcing a new variety very soon! Thanks @chai_walli and @uppma for the feedback and we hope you continue to enjoy the honey.

16.01.2022 Easy like Sunday morning.

16.01.2022 Deeeelicious, rich, straight from the hive butterscotch-like goodness. Forest red gum has been one of our most popular varieties and it’s coming to the end of its run. I will miss it but I can’t wait for our new batches to come through very soon.

14.01.2022 Mount Henry is SO beautifully green at the moment, and it certainly looks like it will be a gloriously wet summer ahead. It will be interesting to see how all the predicted rain affects next year’s blossoms/honey!

14.01.2022 Golden spring days on the farm.

14.01.2022 The paper daisies in our garden at the moment are... everything! Love them so.

14.01.2022 The sweet, delicate Kunzea ambigua (tick bush) I spotted on a recent walk through the bush in the suburb I grew up in. Thanks must always go to @manic_henry who is without fail able to identify anything flora or fauna related in an instant. He is a literal walking encyclopaedia of natural world knowledge and it’s endlessly useful and mind boggling/impressive.

12.01.2022 This might seem cheesy but when I was out looking for the pink flannel flowers last week I spotted this rock and thought HEART! So I did what I usually do - I documented it. And it seemed fitting to come across it in the same spot I first discovered these beautiful blooms.

10.01.2022 The old posty bike AND the bee truck in the driveway - the ideal scenario for our Fred... especially when he gets to go for a quick spin with his grandpa/head beekeeper!

09.01.2022 The most junior beekeeper of the family visiting the most senior in the honey extracting room this afternoon. Wide eyed and watching everything unfold, Tilly didn’t miss a thing! You’ll see some of the bee boxes stacked up waiting to be processed, the frames being uncapped and some of those beautiful golden goodness just ready for the taking! Yummm. We always love these visits and seeing our glorious honey in its purest form.

09.01.2022 We love having a little bit of our story on the back of each jar. Mount Henry Honey comes from the Blue Mountains & Bathurst regions of NSW. Our busy bees collect nectar from a range of native trees & shrubs, making each batch unique. Our 100% pure honey is extracted & bottled on our beautiful farm, Mount Henry, at the base of the Blue Mountains. Gemma & Henry (that’s us! )

06.01.2022 Christmas bush (Ceratopetalum gummiferum) is out in force and I couldn’t be happier about it! I took these pics this morning in Nelson Bay, a couple of hours up the coast from Sydney.

06.01.2022 We have been doing a lot of restocking lately. And it’s especially great being able to drop in with the honey ourselves. Here’s our honey on the shelves of the @hydrobluemountains emporium recently. It was so fantastic to see it humming - lots of people after a long time of relatively low visitors! The Blue Mountains is certainly heaving once more. Hooray.

05.01.2022 The wonderful team at Chai Walli recently did their very own honey tasting, sampling all three of our current varieties. We always LOVE hearing which honey people like best, and in their case it was Grey gum! Honey is currently pouring out of our hives so we will be announcing a new variety very soon! Thanks Chai Walli and Uppma for the feedback, and we hope you continue to enjoy the honey.

04.01.2022 We’re ALWAYS looking at what’s flowering around us, around our beehives - everywhere really! I am now in the habit of looking for blossoms as I drive anywhere - even down the freeway! The most important observations of course come from where our bees are placed, because this tells us what honey is likely to be in the boxes! This week @manic_henry snapped this photo of one of our busy girls on some ti-tree (Leptospernum) when he was checking the hives in Mulgoa. Yay, we are so excited! The honey is pouring in and we can’t wait to announce some new varieties soon.

04.01.2022 Our undressed trio pack! Our classic, creamy yellowbox (Eucalyptus melliodora), rich grey gum (Eucalyptus punctata) and butterscotch-like Forest red gum (Eucalyptus tereticornis). Each uniquely delicious.

04.01.2022 Long, clear, warm, cicada song evenings on repeat. Gosh I love this time of year.

03.01.2022 Did you know we also have these sweet small jars at Mount Henry? They’re 125 grams (7.5cm tall for scale) and roughly eight serves of honey on toast! Orders available by special request via email. They’re perfect as event favours (although 2020 not exactly the year for events!) or like an order we packed off this week, as additions to someone’s Christmas hampers! To find out more drop us a line any time. [email protected]

02.01.2022 Mount Henry is more than a name for us - it’s our home, the place @manic_henry was lucky to grow up, and where we were married - four years ago today. Mount Henry Honey was only a kernel of an idea back then - a dream to build a brand that showcased Henry’s dad’s (and now Henry’s) absolutely incredible honey... built on decades of skill and experience. There were touches of beekeeping and apiary interwoven in the day - not least of all arriving to the ceremony on the back of the bee truck (), and having Edith from @floral_ink_bluemountains’ stunning arrangements spilling from stacks of bee boxes. This is a day, with our loved ones, in our special place (by the dam), we will cherish forever!

02.01.2022 The Chai Time Honey Hamper for TWO! This larger version of our original hamper has two jars of Mount Henry Honey and two handmade @fancynancyceramics mugs. We are also popping a bonus 35 gram bag of the @chai_walli rooibos based caffeine free 11 Spice Chai in for when you feel like a late night cuppa! All hampers come beautifully packaged and wrapped, with a gift card we can write on, or of course leave blank for you. Available online now.

02.01.2022 Bee box lid love.

01.01.2022 Nature - as inspiring as it is good for the soul.
