24.01.2022 It’s been a quiet year on the performance front but our dancers were on stage last night and they did an amazing job in this extreme heat. Thank you so much to the Mount Isa City Council for putting on a fabulous event, to Miss Suzi for choreographing three wonderful dances and to Miss Eden for looking after the kids on the night. Was awesome to see the debut of our Tap performance group as well

19.01.2022 It was a huge weekend with 4 shows, but what fantastic shows they were A huge thank you to our MISD family - the dancers, parents, committee members and especially our amazing team of teachers. We have certainly had a different year in 2020 but we look forward to a fantastic year of dancing in 2021. Congratulations again to our graduate students Alysia, Grace and Jasmin who took their final bows for MISD today. You were beautiful to watch in your graduate trio and we wish you all the best in the future.

16.01.2022 Getting ready for our huge performances this Saturday and Sunday 28th and 29th of November at the Good Shepherd Catholic College Lumen Christ Centre. The Junior dancers (4-7 year olds) perform at 10am and the Intermediate/Senior group at 1.00pm. Doors open 30mins prior to showtime and we will have door sales available. Adults $10 and Children $5. 10.01.2022 Madi had a great competition placing 3rd for Hip-hop , Very highly commended for Acro and her duo with Amity, and Highly commended for her Ballet and Novelty solos. She was also recognized as the Most valued dancer at the awards ceremony on Saturday night, acknowledging how helpful, considerate, respectful and kind she was to other dancers and the organisers backstage. 03.01.2022 Well it’s Term 4, and despite the interruptions to normal classes in Term 1 & 2, our Assistant Student Teachers have been working hard to support our teaching and develop their teaching skills in many of our classes. They have also been busy learning and developing their skills as leaders in the dance studio. Your children will know them well, and over the next few weeks we will be introducing them to you all. Please join us on congratulating them so far on their assistant teacher journey.
