08.01.2022 This mural was created for NAIDOC Week and as part of our school’s Acknowledgement of Country launch. Located in our school administration foyer, it was inspired by the work of Indigenous artist Mavis Ngallametta (1944-2019). It is made from paintings by students from right across the school. The students used liquid water colours on art paper, then added salt and other substances to create texture. The mountain is a copy of the Mt Ommaney outline on our school logo. The photos were taken in the school grounds, mostly by students. They were printed into black and white images, which the children then painted green.
