20.01.2022 On Friday 6 September, 20 MWSC Year 10 students attended the Ourschool Information session to learn about different pathways, jobs and opportunities Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre has to offer. This session inspired and encouraged students to consider the many diverse opportunities within the health and medical sphere.

19.01.2022 Congratulations to MWSC former student and last year's MWSC Sports Hall of Fame inductee, Kate Eddy, who plays WD for Melbourne Vixens. The Vixens won the Suncorp Netball Grand Final on Sunday, West Coast Fever in a final that went down to the dying minutes. Kate has also recently been selected in the Australian Development Squad. Congratulations Kate!

16.01.2022 17 alumni returned to MWSC for the Year 10 Future Options Evening - an evening dedicated to encouraging Year 10s to think about their future beyond school and help with their subject selection as they begin VCE next year.

15.01.2022 At yesterday's Junior School Leadership Assembly, we had the privilege of having the dynamic Kimberlee Wells '93 speak to the students about her time at MWSC from a leadership perspective. From a distracted Year 7 student, she harnessed her curiosity & redirected her energy to become an outstanding school leader in her final year of school. Now, she is the CEO of one of Australia's most prominent & highly awarded advertising agencies. An impactful takeaway for the Year 8 stu...dents, was the notion of 'leading with a stick versus leading as a servant'. Kimberlee identifies as a servant leader and advocated the qualities of this type of leadership to embody empathy & genuine connection. She also encouraged students to "always speak the truth to power". No wonder this alumna has achieved such career success - what an exceptional role model for the students.

Book Week is an annual event, run by the children's Book Councial of Australia. They award prizes to Australian authors for the 'best' books in a number of categories. Katherine is now a Cognitive Scientist & Melbourne University Fellow.
