18.01.2022 We had a fire at the Hermitage over the weekend- thank you to Rodney for getting the fire out. Burnt all the way along the fence. A but if excitement for our retreat guests! Though not something I would like to go through again.

14.01.2022 We had a break in overnight to our sheds, those who broke in stole a Gentec 6.5kva generator and 5 containers of fuel. Police have now attended. They loaded up the generator into a wheel barrow then went down the driveway to Wickepin road, lifted the generator over the fence. Be aware of any suspicious behaviour around the Pingelly area.

03.01.2022 The house garden continues to grow, have planted hedging and shade trees. Surrounded the contemplation garden with Albany wooly bush for some shelter got both humans and wildlife. We have established a small orchard with a range of fruit trees and we will see which thrive and which survive before finishing the planting. David continues on his day off to work tirelessly, today he is working on the boundary fencing, getting fence posts in, getting tricky now as having to work around the telephone line that is not laid in a straight line and at varying depths. Girls keep going fir little recognisant missions and have to be locked in the veranda as wickepin-Pingelly rd is very busy with traffic. Hard slog on your own with only a baby utility tractor . We are very blessed to have our slice of heaven to create a place of respite and love.
