25.01.2022 How to make the most of a quiet day... recipe as follows : Add 1 horse (in this case 8yold Dee) as seen in the photo Add a small fire in the side house paddock Along with SR Flour, salt and cream ( plus bourbon if im going to be truly honest here) Equates to a perfect setting along with my first attempt at camp oven scones. That is the perfect day for me. As the next two are fully booked up with Physiokey sessions and meeting new clients :-) feeling extremely grateful

24.01.2022 Some things are not always as they seem... FIrstly, there is a head at the other end of that mule :-) Secondly, I'm sitting here kicking back with a purpose. A very important purpose. Waiting for fresh nuggets to fall. Nuggets? I'm talking poop, fresh steaming mule poop nuggets. Strange you may think....but its the perfect time of year to check the herd with a fecal egg count!! It may not sound glamorous or overly exciting but I consider it a necessity to gauge where the pa...rasite count is sitting with my equines and on the property. This is valuable in determining if worming is required. Unnecessary and over-worming has been proven in building resistance to the active ingredients of wormers we have available here in Australia.Ongoing exposure to these chemicals through the overuse of wormers can not only build resistance to parasites in your equine but has also proven to have a negative impact on the "nice bugs" such as dung beetles in your pasture. If you would like a fecal egg count for your equine, just collect 2 or 3 fresh nuggets in a zip lock bag, label with equines name and date of collection, store in a cool dry area (fridge preferred) and I can pick up at the time of your next appointment. $15 for a single count $10 for multiples Relieving Pain Restoring Motion

21.01.2022 Photos below are directly before and after Physiokey treatment. If ever there was a horse more deserving of a break from the toils of equine life, its this big boy Oakley. Life for Oak the last few years has been full of new experiences with his young owner, jumping, trails and even having a crack at team penning. But nothing has had a greater influence than a recent case of horrific displacement colic, that he was not expected to survive a week earlier. As indicated in the p...hoto Oak was in obvious pain/discomfort at the time so a passive treatment was undertaken to help relieve numerous muscle restrictions and tension as the result of the displacement colic, which was notably a very severe case. His treatment also provided him with some obvious relief of his pain, indicated by his demeanour and his ability to stand more comfortably. We even managed to achieved some very healthy (and very loud) gut sounds, indicating that things internally were moving along as they should be. This is far from the end of Oaks recovery program, with a follow up session in 5 to 7 days time, a change to his diet to ensure optimum but safe weight gain and what ever time it takes for him to recover. Much respect to his young owner with her commitment to Oak and the all that is entailed to ensure the best possible recovery outcome. Relieving Pain Restoring Motion

03.01.2022 A Buddy update :

02.01.2022 No surprise when I arrived to check in on this guy this afternoon that he was doing his best "Sam the crab" impersonation. Taking a small fright at Warrina last weekend to it's limit, King managed to make a right muscle mess of his rear end. Just to prove his point, he confirmed his discomfort by ensuring his rider experienced another equine assisted dismount before my arrival today. Initial thoughts, I suspected there was only so much I could achieve....... However King is... a regular of Physiokey therapy to keep him moving free and comfortable, and as usual he embraced his session and together we worked to iron out his creases to restore his swagger. :-) Love working with this guy and his very special person.
