24.01.2022 A very different Remembrance Day today but we thank those who have served and who still serve for the freedoms we now enjoy. They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

23.01.2022 Move Well Physiotherapy is proud to join their major partner Move Forward Physiotherapy in donating to Zero2Hero to support the mental health of young people in our community. Stay safe everyone.

22.01.2022 Move Well Physiotherapists gathered at Maniax in Northbridge to celebrate Christmas and enjoy a bit of healthy competition. After a series of one on one knock out rounds there was a fierce battle in the semi finals between 4 amazing marksmen/women, Jason, Mikaila, Joel and Dan. Dan and Joel made it through to the grandfinal, but there could be only one winner. Joel took the trophy in a nail biting finish! Congratulations Joel!! We then enjoyed dinner, drinks and live music at The Sewing Room, with delicious catering from Holmes & Co and Simple Italian. #thesewingroom #maniax #movewellphysio

21.01.2022 WE ARE STILL OPERATING The Prime Minister Scott Morrison last night made a decision to make further closures. However, Physiotherapy Services are to remain OPEN. We have an important role to play to take pressure off the already overloaded medical system. The West Australian has INCORRECTLY reported that physiotherapy clinics are among the services to close temporarily. This is not the case. We continue to maintain strict hygiene policies and screening those who are unwell and/or those who have recently traveled. All surfaces are cleaned before and after every contact, and we are also available for Telehealth appointments from today. We will continue to monitor government advice and thank you for your continuing support.

16.01.2022 Fabulous face to face presentation from Dr Ross Radic on ACL reconstruction, surgical versus non surgical management, and an update on recent advances in surgical technique. Thanks Ross for coming to see us at Rivervale Physiotherapy and answering all our questions.

15.01.2022 A great way to spend a Sunday, presenting a webinar to health professionals based in India on spinal techniques and treatment progressions. Many thanks to Ajay of Physio First for getting us all organized. Thanks also to Sammy Prost and Peter Owens for being the live client and videographer respectively. It’s difficult teaching online (shout out to all the teachers who have managed to do this!) and even harder no doubt to learn this way. I hope all the attendees had fun learning despite the difficulties. Stay safe and stay well. X

09.01.2022 Benefits of lateral sliders with Hockeyroos GK Rachel Lynch Lateral sliders are a great exercise, as it works the sides of the glutes (the gluteus medius), which are an important stabilising muscle for the hip joint, and is often under-appreciated. Moving in different directions also help you work your quadriceps, hamstring and calf muscles from another angle. Mos...t athletes need explosive speed and power and this is a perfect exercise to improve that. #movewell #movewellmoveoften @stompgoalkeeping @rachlynch See more

08.01.2022 Have you been putting off learning CPR and first aid? Both are a great addition to your tool box. Even this bear is getting some practice in.

06.01.2022 So wonderful to attend the zero2hero camp graduation and hear these remarkable young leaders speaking so enthusiastically about their experiences over the past 5 days. Working on resilience, acceptance, truth and growth, these camps work to improve the mental health of the participants and in turn, their communities. We are proud that our Move Forward Physio + Pilates Physio extraordinaire Ethan attended the camp as a mentor. Well done Ethan. Move Well Physiotherapy are thrilled to have sponsored students to attend the camp through our partner Move Forward Physio.

06.01.2022 An enthusiastic group of Move Well Physiotherapists arrived at Ronald MacDonald House early on Sunday morning to cook breakfast for the families. A flurry of activity produced a feast of bacon, egg, spinach and cheese muffins, scrambled eggs and bacon, pikelets, home made beans, smashed avo on toast, and amazing banana bread (thanks Peta McLennan). Many thanks to Jason Rocca, Connor Lynch, Peta McLennan, Matt Kerslake, Michelle Ruvinoski, and Peter Owens for joining Felicity and feeding WA families going through a tough time.

02.01.2022 A fantastic zoom tutorial today from Professor Allan Kermode, Neurologist, on the topic of MS. A great rundown on what is known and what is not known about MS and some interesting facts such as regional differences in both the frequency and the presentation of the condition. Plenty of information to help Move Well Physios provide the best care possible for their patients with MS. Thank you Allan for taking time out from your busy schedule to teach us so much.

01.01.2022 The CoVid-19 pandemic has meant many international educational events have been organized to take advantage of the increase in online learning. Physiotherapy is no different. Move Well Physiotherapist Felicity Kermode will be presenting to students, physiotherapists and doctors based in India to demonstrate some spinal techniques commonly used by Australian trained physiotherapists. Thank you to Physio first for organizing this seminar.

01.01.2022 The owners of Move Well Physiotherapy have been heartbroken watching the devastation of the wild fires burning all around Australia. It's easy to feel overwhelmed with sadness and helplessness, but there are ways you can help. We have donated to several charities, some of which are listed below. Every dollar helps. Adelaide Koala Rescue WIRES Australian Red Cross Wildlife Victoria... WWF-Australia Or you can head over to the Instagram page @spendwiththem started by Turia Pitt (who knows all too well the horrors of bush fires) and her friend Grace McBride and buy from a business directly affected by the fires to keep them afloat. I have bought some organic coffee beans and some small batch gin!! You can even buy a meal from a cafe to gift to a family who have lost their homes. May the rains come. See more

01.01.2022 Move Well Physiotherapists attended a tutorial at Bedshed at the Gateway in Edgewater last night. Many thanks to Cathy and Greg and the team for teaching us about different mattresses and how to choose a bed to ensure a good nights sleep. Their Sleepmaker range are endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and some discounts may apply if you are referred by your physiotherapist to buy a new mattress. Heaps of fun and very educational. #Bedshed #APA #Movewell #movewellphysio
