23.01.2022 Bronte had her stitches out yesterday and just had a physio session and she managed to put her paw down going up stairs. Making progress!

20.01.2022 Does your back sometimes feel like this? In just one session Movement Mender can decrease your pain, you'll wonder why you didn't do it earlier!

19.01.2022 First session done for Bronte. I massaged the back of her knee to move the fluid build up behind it, and she graciously sat there and lifted her leg off the ground to help me get underneathe her knee, it's like she knew I was treating her and it was gladly welcomed by her. They are amazing creatures, she is just sitting with a little ice on her swollen knee now. Hopefully she feels better after her physio session

15.01.2022 I am absolutely loving being back working with my patients after having a little time off. Making you all feel better brings me happiness and warm fuzzy feelings on the inside :) I complain about work like we all do, but at the end of the day, I love my job, as I like helping. I'm looking to expand Movement Mender to a second location soon, so watch this space, stay healthy and do your exercises!

12.01.2022 So if you wake up in pain or experience pain don't just turn to pills to help out, try an old exercise or stretch your physio has shown you! I'm sure if you think back to your last physio session you can remember some exercises or stretches which can change the outcome of your day - being pain free! I say this because I woke up in pain this morning, I couldn't rotate my neck... I found a tennis ball- massaged out my rhomboids (shoulder blades) by leaning on a wall and no long...er have neck pain. Had I not done this I would have spent the day in pain. It does not have to be the most intelligent solution... however beats taking anti-inflammatories or pain relief which is not good for your G.I.T longterm. I care about all my patients and don't like you to be in pain unnecessarily. Get to doing your exercises! Regularly See more

10.01.2022 I will be doing physiotherapy to my dog Bronte who just underwent a knee reconstruction. Their anatomy and how they feel after an opertIon such as this is just about the same as humans and require just as much TLC! Poor pooch!

07.01.2022 With the city to surf coming up I have had quite a few 'runners' coming in with ankle injuries. It sure is important to have balanced strength to survive these long endurance events. If you need advice on how to prevent injuries for events such as this check in with us at Movement Mender

03.01.2022 Happy Fri-Yay everybody! Leading into the cooler weather the symptoms from arthritis can become apparent. I have strategies to help alleviate your pain contact the clinic 9567 7077 for an initial consult today!

02.01.2022 There is a repetitive movement that you all do, day in and day out that is contributing to your pain (wherever that may be). Take a second to sit back and analyse the way you go about your daily tasks and work out another way it could be done so your body can have a break from the same way you do it everyday. For example, you hold that 15kg tool box in your left hand for the 100m walk to the site every day, how about a tool box on wheels? That poor back and shoulder of yours will appreciate it in a few years time. Stop sitting cross legged or crouched over at your desk! Stand for a while, go for regular walks, adjust that desk of yours. Look after your body it is your temple

02.01.2022 Hello everybody, of late I have been quite busy and fairly quiet on here because I have been sidetracked with opening a new practice in Bexley, in the early new year it will be open with more time to offer you all, thank you so much for your patience. Have a very merry Christmas!
