Let your head float like a helium balloon Imagine you have a spirit level across the front of your pelvis Think of your thighbone like a spoon stirring in a bowl (your hip socket) ... Imagine your balancing coffee on your back as you move and don’t spill a drop Lay your spine down like a string of pearls one vertebra at a time The list goes on (and that’s not including the inevitable word salad when I jumble things up ) So WHY do I say these things? In a nut shell it’s to help you my job is to help you reach your body through your mind. I want you to think of your body and how it moves in a way that makes sense to you so you can improve & I draw on any reference I can to help with this The examples ive given above are all visual but theres loads of ways I will cue and help get your body into the best position. 24.01.2022 Time is a funny thing, on one hand we all have 24 hours in a day - and on the other there are so many things that factor into that and how time gets eaten up that we are often wishing for an extra day in the week if not at least a few bonus hours (Its me I’m wishing for it) With the school term fast approaching I’ll be tackling my time a little differently Now I always schedule my own needs into my week first - I’ve learned the hard way that I am of no service to anyon...e if I’m not taking care of myself With the hours in my week that remain, for the first time EVER I am going to open up my full availability... What does this mean? 1. Im not studying for the first time in 5 years (yet) 2. Im taking SWAI full time So the white spaces shown (timetable in 2nd pic) are when I am happy and available to be of service for your pilates / wellness needs This will be a first in first served situation so if you want to work with me check your diary and get in touch to discuss what we can work on together (The group classes will remain and the orange spaces have already been booked) Can’t wait to see you Bon x



24.01.2022 It’s tempting to sit and ponder all the things I went through in 2020 and look fondly towards 2021, as though the turning of the calendar page can put more comfortable amount of distance between me and the year that was but this year, for all its devastating lows has delivered some of the most wonderful highs; so instead I think I’ll sit happily with what I have knowing as I step into tomorrow * I am enough * I have everything I need * I am blessed with amazing family an...d friends * Changes and challenges are normal and will keep coming * I am exactly where I’m supposed to be * My purpose is clear * It’s okay to feel equal parts terrified, joyful and everything in between * & I don’t need to be in control I just need to be present and to act with LOVE I hope you take only what you need with you into the New Year and that it is a year full of whatever it is that lights you up & sets your souls on fire Bon My fave new pic by @belle_verdiglione

Its so common to hear How are you, you look Tiered Like you’ve lost weight ... Stressed insert adjective of your choosing. Can we just take a minute and check if what we are saying to people is genuine, habit, or even necessary!? Especially if those comments are based on visual appearance HOT TIP - Someone else’s body is not for you to comment on So by all means spread love, compliment and check in with people, but when asking questions like How are you? feel free to leave it there and listen for a response before jumping in with a comment or observation that might just steer the conversation away from How. 16.01.2022 Somthing quick and easy to keep you moving while you’re home The yoga block delivering up today’s lower body fun ~ If you don’t have a yoga block find a small step or something stable to elevate 1 foot One foot on the block the other stepping you out to a squat (of course with your knee alignment tracking perfectly & hinging nicely at the front of the hips ) ... 2 step/ double squat wide squat heel lift/lower PULSES get as funky as you want with the heel lifts/lower & pulses it’ll get you warm really quick Try 6-8 reps of each & let me know how you go Bon

16.01.2022 Since 2013 I’ve had multiple breast lumps, ultrasounds, FNA’s, core biopsies, mammograms the works. and although each new lump the results would come back the same nothing sinister unexplained rapid growth high white blood cell count ‘fibrous tissue I’d had enough - I wanted the lumps out & I wanted someone to take a look on the inside and give me some ‘real’ assurance that everything was ok. Now I’ve always been a small built person and aside from when I was breast fe...eding, big breasts were always something I thought I was missing out on. I was bullied throughout school and beyond being called things like Skeletor and little boy Bonnie so this was great, In my mind I was going to deal with the medical stuff and heck yeah while you’re there let’s upsize Fast forward a few months post implants and sure I had new breasts that I’d be lying if I said hadn’t given me a confidence boost in certain situations, but they also gave me pain, daily & constant PAIN! And you know what else ... I got more lumps anyway... For 6 years I dealt with it no sensation some days, hypersensitivity others and daily bouts of stabbing pain and heaviness in my chest While looking for explanations I came across Breast Implant Illness (BII) I went back to my doctors & multiple surgeons for their opinions and whilst no one was sitting me down saying yes it’s 100% BII, ALL of them said I’m 99.9% sure if you have your implants removed your pain will stop (they had lot of other things to say about the aesthetic situation but that’s another post entirely ) Now I don’t want to put this entirely down to BII because I honestly believe there is more at play here - I believe the more personal work and growth that Ive done the more I’ve been able to accept my role in this - for me the implants were an act of self betrayal, of listening to the noise that I might not be enough and of not honouring my body just as she was and loving the sh$t out of her. I literally hid behind them. Does that mean I think everyone with implants has done the same F*$k No! This is my experience ~ you do you . (Continued in comments...)

Shift your body weight forward/back or to one side and this will feel like nothing at all - stay 100% centred and and focus on the long strong line of your spine & viola. 01.01.2022 Rant Warning We are one week into 2021 and maybe as someone who follows a lot of fitness people/businesses given that fitness and wellness is the industry I am a part of I’m seeing more than the average person, or maybe I’m not, but either way seven days in and I feel completely bombarded with body shame, expectations and body dysmorphia and frankly if I see one more post telling me to work out because I need to get a certain body type since here in W.A. Its summer o...r to justify what I’ve eaten if I’ve overindulged I think I might just be sick... Maybe it’s the heat, maybe it’s the gin or maybe I’ve just had enough of diet culture but I cannot encourage you enough to take back your power over what you feed your body (and I’m not talking food) I’m talking visually and mentally; if you read or see something that makes you feel even remotely bad about yourself Unfollow unfriend unsubscribe in anyway possible You are perfectly you and have the same wonderful unique gifts to offer this world regardless of the the size of any damn part of you ...
