24.01.2022 Want to know why 90% of New Years Resolutions don't make it past February? Because they don't have a plan of action! I've seen it a lot before - the clock ticks midnight, it's a New Year and a new you! ... This is your year, right? You smash it out early but a month in the motivation starts to fade away.... Then it's March, April, May....and finally we're back making the same resolution next year I'm not big on New Years Resolutions. Because I know that making healthier decisions with a better action plan is always leads to a better result than using the calendar for motivation. 23.01.2022 When someone says "the weekend ruined my progress..." This sentence makes me feel like a human face-palm emoji In case you missed it, here's a reminder:... One day (or two) of kicking back, relaxing, eating good food and enjoying good company won't make you fat/unfit/lose gains. It doesn't matter if you ate more than usual or didn't move as much, one day won't send you off the rails. It's what you do 90% of the time, not the 10%. So before you resign yourself to a weekend-long binge sesh because "my progress is already f****d", stop and take a breath. Enjoy the weekend - but don't send yourself on a downward spiral. Make better choices, wiser moves, small steps, towards a successful week ahead
22.01.2022 Staying on track with your healthy habits can be pretty bloody tough on the weekend. It's like 5pm Friday is some automatic switch that makes our goals go from do-able to damn near impossible But it doesn't have to be!... It's important to enjoy yourself on the weekends and not restrict yourself too much but it's also important not yeet our progress out the window. Try these easy switches for an awesome but still healthy weekend Instead of skipping meals out with your mates, ask the restaurant staff about the healthier options. Ditch the Netflix and get outside and moving! Plan a quick morning workout to start the day If you're having a drink or two (because Saturday's are for the boys!) stick to one type of drink - and if you track your calories, track it. Set aside some time to meal prep, plan your workouts and prepare for the week ahead Have an awesome weekend (and healthier) weekend everyone!
21.01.2022 Our first week of training for 2021 has been unreal! January’s always a pretty crazy time and after the 2020 we all had, we could all use a re-set button. And there’s never been a better time to hit it - right now when the motivation is sky high.... Keeping that motivation on the other hand isn’t so easy. Let’s make 2021 the year you finally hit those health goals and learn how to keep them so you don’t need the same re-set next year We don’t have a fancy New Years challenge going - because I don’t want your results to be temporary. 09.01.2022 WHAT A BLOODY YEAR! To say 2020 was a big year would be an understatement (because it felt like it went for a million years) We started the year by pivoting our whole direction as a business - only to have the whole fitness industry pretty much shut down overnight.... But in the process I learnt more about myself and who I wanted to be as a coach and it made me so much better We learned to get out of our comfort zones and train wherever we could. We threw down in parks, backyards and even my little 3x5m garage but it never got in the way of our members kicking goals. Pretty bloody proud of you all We unfortunately had to say goodbye to some old mates, but we got to add plenty of new ones to our amazing team of clients and we’re endlessly grateful for all of your support in this crazy year! And while all that was going on, we lost our wedding venue, found a new one, lost the new one and then had to cancel the whole thing! But we got there in the end Between fires, COVID-19 and whatever the hell Biden and Trump have been up to, our team has pushed through and dominated 2020. Pretty stoked to get to spend my days with these legends Now we’re nearly done resting and re-focusing just in time for an event bigger 2021 (Side note - if 2021 can be a little more chill, that’d be awesome ) Keen to get after it with my incredible team and keep on #buildinghealthierhumans

08.01.2022 3 LIMITING BELIEFS AFFECTING YOUR GOALS 1. Victim mentality: This shows up as failure to take ownership for the role you play in achieving your goals. Relying on others to do the hard work for you won't help you achieve a real result - learn how to find the advice, and follow it by putting in the work ... 2. I’m not good enough/I'm too unfit: This is a fear many of us hold whether we know it or not - hell, even I do sometimes. How do you push through it? Show up! Do it regardless of how you feel. This shows up as self sabotage and failure to stick with habits that enable our results. 3. Need for safety: Let go of trying to control what happens, and learn to lean into the discomfort that comes with working toward things you’ve never had before. 05.01.2022 What's the best exercise to make you lose the fat faster? Well, it's not... Cardio... HIIT sessions Powerlifting or 1000 Sit-Ups a day Then it's got to be Keto right? Paleo? High-protein diets? surely it's Gluten Free then!? No, it's none of that. Spell it out with me guys: Calorie. Fucking. Deficit. Anything out there that promises to help you lose-10kg-in-10 days is either A) total bullshit, B) putting a band-aid over the issue and not sustainable long term or C) both of the above. There's no fast way lads - nothing that's going to change your life is. There's no "best exercise" or "quick diet" that's ACTUALLY going to get you results you'll keep for life. Work hard on the right things and take ownership of your results, and I promise you'll keep the good gains forever. See more
