Your mind and thoughts are powerful and I'm sure you have experienced abundance even when you least expected it. ... I'm reading a book at the moment given to me by a close friend and it's all about changing your current direction in life to something more positive and where you actually want to be heading. One statement highlighted in the book is "there is only one person responsible for the quality of your life you live. That person is you" So true right? It brings me back to my statement for today. - No one can ruin your day. Only if you let yourself think that it is ruined. Consider re-framing it to something more positive and productive like "how could I have dealt with this better?" - Your response is your choice Gosh, look at me trying to sound so profound! But in all seriousness - you are in control of your actions so all I encourage you to do is to make them positive

23.01.2022 My virtual Health Assistant Shae also give me workouts that I can follow! Every single exercise is also ranked according to how good and important it is for my body. This is how it looks on the phone app, and on the desktop version there is an entire library of exercises you can look through and choose from Every HealthType has specific recommendations according to the results of their assessment all things are taken in consideration... For example, my HealthType is Sensor, therefore, due to my smaller frame and bone density my recommended activities are based around that fact so the best exercises for me are resistance training with lighter weights and more repetitions, lengthening activities such as Yoga, creative movements like dance and toning exercises like Pilates. Other HealthTypes that have a larger frame and higher bone density are going to be more equipped to perform heavy Olympic style lifting or low volume higher weight training styles as well as long steady state cardio like walking, running and cycling. 15.01.2022 Today’s Recipe supplied by Steph Geddes @bodygoodfood Makes 10 slices INGREDIENTS... 1 cup almond meal 1 cup oats/ quinoa flakes for gluten free 1/2 cup buckwheat flour 1 tablespoon psyllium husks teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking powder teaspoon baking soda teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 cup spinach, chopped finely 1 cup zucchini, grated 4 eggs cup coconut oil, melted 1 tablespoon honey walnuts, coarsely chopped 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds METHOD Preheat the oven to 180C. Grease a loaf pan and line with baking paper. Combine the almond meal, oats, buckwheat flour, psyllium, salt, baking powder, baking soda and nutmeg in a bowl. In a separate bowl beat the eggs until pale and fluffy. Add the eggs, oil, honey and ACV to the dry mixture and mix thoroughly. Add the spinach, zucchini and walnuts and stir through. Spoon the mixture into the loaf tin and smooth with the back of a spoon. Top with pumpkin seeds and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean. Cool and slice. This will keep in the fridge for 1 week or in the freezer for 1 month and just toast when serving. 10.01.2022 This story is not uncommon. Angelica has been following a fat-free/low fat diet for years, she eats healthy and prepares fresh meals for her and her family. Angelica has a small frame, low BMI (body mass index) however a relatively high BFI (body fat index) She has also been fairly sedentary, often has a sluggish mind and doesnt sleep well After going through the HealthType test recommendations are made according to the data that is collected from her assessment- some of ...the changes recommended are: stop the low fat diet and introduce some healthy fat sources which are important for a healthy hormone level increase the lean protein intake along with healthy sources of calcium, phosphorus and Vitamin D to help reduce her risk of bone fragility Consider introducing running and small amount of resistance training into her week to help with bone mineral density start forming a good sleep hygiene routine eg. dimming lights and having a calming herbal tea an hour before bed to encourage a more restful sleep These are just a few of the personalised recommendations that were given and worked through with her coach This amazing approach to your health is something I am very passionate about because I have seen the benefits with all of my clients. 07.01.2022 I love getting weekly emails from Shae- my Virtual Health Assistant! This week she reminded me of how good light cheese is for me and all the nutritional benefits of eating it Did you know that cheese can help protect sensitive skin from sun damage? This is due to it containing Tyrosine - which contributes to the production of melanin, the pigment on the outer layer of out skin.... Amazing right!? As you probably already know, it is also a great source of calcium which is an important mineral for bone health. Recipe supplied by The LunchBox Dad... How to make the Vegetable Doughnut Grab a protein shaker and add the following cup vegetable oil, cup milk, 1 egg, 1 cup self raising flour, cup of grated cheddar and cup of diced veggies. Shake it up reall well so the egg is dissolved and consistent texture. You can whisk it all together in a bowl also if you don’t have a protein shaker.
