22.01.2022 Whilst concerns rise globally surrounding Covid-19, we can learn from our previous experiences. In this article as shared by Rodney Corn from #feelsoma some essential learnings from the Spanish Flu times of 1918 can help our global population in our present health crisis. Yes, preventing spread by increased hygiene and social distance BUT also look at ways we can improve our immunity and hygiene naturally, especially as we in Australia head into our cooler months. Increase yo...ur vit D = get outside more. Increase your natural air circulation at home (and work if possible). Get outside at home for fresh air, if you do get sick, be it covid-19 or a cold. Keep moving and strengthening your body, but if not well dial it back, don't be hectic, calm your central nervous system in movement...yoga, tai chi, pilates, slow body weight movement etc. Eat nutrient rich and diverse foods...especially locally sourced and in season. Eating this way nourishes your body with nutrients suited to your season. Consider optimizing your gut health now, to help protect your immunity. Prebiotics, fibre and probiotics...either supplement and or by food. And if shutdown is at all required...all of this can still be done at home. Move well, Feel well, be well everyone!

The heal...th and safety of our members and staff is always our top priority, so please note that we will be reducing group fitness class sizes to create more space between both members and equipment. 17.01.2022 An interesting turn of events in my household this morning (my son has woken with a very sore throat) so in keeping social responsibility top of mind, we as a family are isolating at least for today to see what happens with my son as a precaution to us and the community. HOWEVER! I have still conducted my 8 week challenge group via Facetime...the dedicated ladies were in the gym and I was in my garage - all went well (a bit sweaty Betty on mind end with no air conditioning...! lol). Thank you Chrissy, Danielle and Lauren for continuing business as usual! Next virtual client is at 11am. In the face of challenging times, together we can create #Solutionsnotproblems to keep our economy and momentum of living ticking over!

09.01.2022 We’re thrilled to announce a few exciting updates for our QLD Clubs, which will be effective from this Friday July 3 at 12 noon. From this date, bookings will o...nly be required for Group Fitness Classes. All other workouts including cardio, weights areas and functional training zones will no longer require a booking. Early birds and night owls will also be happy to hear that 24.7 access will also resume from this date, as will access to change rooms. Creche will resume on July 13. From noon this Friday, July 3 anyone who travels from V...ictoria including Queenslanders will be prevented from entering Queensland unless they complete 14 days of hotel quarantine at their own expense. What my role IS- to help you navigate, understand these movie / article concepts and learn what are the best options of foods, quantities and regularity within YOUR eating style preference/s (and budgets), to enable YOU to achieve YOUR goals, (without me medically prescribing nutrition). We’re so pleased to announce that in line with the recent announcement from the Queensland Government togethe...r with confirmation of the COVID Safe Industry Plan last night (see info here: https://bit.ly/3cy8Cap), Goodlife QLD will be reopening clubs this Friday, June 5th at 12 noon. This means we are now able to open with more than the initial 20 person capacity per club, and we're thrilled to be able to offer more space to welcome members back.
