24.01.2022 Remember... . . Anger can be an emotion that asks for further inquiry and action. .... . Its wise and needs to time show us what else is there. . . When held and acted on responsibly, anger can help lead us to newer insights about our own heart space. Give anger the time it needs to tell us what might be underneath it and what its saying about what we are needing emotionally. This can be true for both kids and adults. Sitting with anger and being curious about what its telling us can help us widen our window of tolerance. Thanks for the meme @wholeheartedschoolcounseling and share @yogaed See more

16.01.2022 Very simple and beautiful meditation. Thank you Deva Premal:

16.01.2022 "People want to see patterns in the world. It is how we evolved." ~ Benoit Mandelbrot .

16.01.2022 In a moment of activation when youre tempted to bail out of your body and enter the old pathways of aggression and self-abandonment just pause. Slow way do...wn. Take a few deep breaths. Ground yourself in the earth and open your senses. Just as youre falling down the rabbit hole into the sticky, seductive narrative of shame, judgment, and attacking your own vulnerability, encode something different. Lay your hands on your belly and your heart, open new circuitry by way of sensitivity and touch. In just one moment of reorganization, you cut into billions of previous moments of trance. Allow your center of gravity to drop out of the spinning storyline of how theres something wrong with you, how youve failed or become lost, what happened or who did what, shaming and blaming and parachuting away from the life raging within you. The old storyline is no longer nuanced, subtle, or sensitive enough. It is no longer safe to stay and take refuge there. Be a friend now, as you would to a loved one whose emotional world was on fire. Turn your body into a temple where the hot, claustrophobic, information-filled word of sensation and feeling can be contained, held, and metabolized in grounded, nourishing awareness. Although the temptation is to turn from the shaky center, it is an act of love to step off the battlefield and tend the fire with the cooling waters of lovingkindness. Your torso is aglow with important data for the way ahead. From this slow and soothed place, ask: What is it that I need right now? What is most wanting to be met and held? What have I abandoned in myself? What has been unlived that is now longing to return home? As you slow down, seeds of empathy are planted in your nervous system, watered with new forms of self-care as compassion pathways find their grooves and are brought alive. Suddenly there is so much space. Breath where none was to be found. Through this aspiration to no longer abandon yourself, you come back into the sensitivity and power of the Self, embodied in the perception of the warrior, one of love who has come not only to heal yourself but as a vessel of transmutation for all beings. 11.01.2022 THIS IMPERFECT DANCE We never rehearsed this We are a mess... We tremble and perspire We step on each others toes Sometimes we go out of tune And forget our lines But at least this is real At least we are not half-alive Buried under the weight of some image We never believed in anyway I will always take this imperfect dance Over no dance at all - Jeff Foster

10.01.2022 Its so quiet in the mountains today. While it may seem to be another ordinary Monday, there is nothing ordinary about this rare and precious human body and the... opportunity that has been given. To slow down, touch the earth, to be given another breath. It can be so easy to forget, to become tangled in the trance of postponement. To be able to listen to the birds, to experience an emotion, to feel something, to be held within the vastness of this miracle Milky Way. Despite the pain of the past and the uncertainty about the future, there is something untouched and complete in this moment. Something that was never unhealed, never in need of any further transformation. Spend a few moments resting with your nervous system on this new day. Attune to the flow of energy and information that is coursing through you. Soothe the achiness, the weariness, the overactivation with presence and warmth. Activate the compassion circuits and bring the empathy pathways online by touch, by breath, by caring. Practice intimacy with this moment. Take it as your lover touch, be touched, tactile, receive, give, feel, sense, open, naked, listen, taste it is risky to give yourself to life in this way, to let your lover have you, and to receive that fullness in return, all the way through. As we allow the emotions, sensations, and images to weave together, we engage the wholeness of neural integration. In this majesty, right brain and left brain link, self and Other interlace, sun and moon come together in embrace. All that is left is a certain awe, a natural curiosity in the wisdom of the body, the magnificence of psyche, the depth and mysteriousness of the soul each as an emissary and communication from the deeper Self, pulling us toward itself, toward the great beloved, that is neither inside, nor out but resting in that secret place, awaiting our return. Each form arising and passing, perceived and received as an emanation of that eternal invitation to union. Photo by Reymark Franke

10.01.2022 Game of the week: The Freeze Game Its our tribute to the classical musical statues. Its simple to play yet extremely fun and meaningful. Firstly, were advoc...ates of dancing free and wild. Dance in a way that unleashes your creativity and self-expression. Secondly, when we freeze were practicing the ability to inhibit behaviors. Self-control is an important skill that allows us to control impulsive or automatic behaviors with the use of attention and reason. We recommend to start playing with our video, freezing where the pauses in music are. Then, use your childs and your own favorite music. 07.01.2022 We love this Eisenstein quote as it makes us think about how things are changing; in the world, in our homes, and within ourselves. Life has been throwing us on...e big curveball lately - if were open to the possibility, this moment can transform us. Lets keep moving through the uncertainty by embracing creativity and seeking out opportunities to play and laugh more. See more

05.01.2022 In a moment of activation, when the uninvited visitors arrive to a sensitive nervous system, it can be helpful to shift our attention out of the looping narrati...ve and into the body. It is not safe or supportive in the narrative at this time a repetition of the same old voices, conclusions, and perceptions that were early attempts to make sense of emotional and somatic experience that was too dysregulating to hold and integrate. The rage, the shame, the regret, the fear, the disappointment, and the sadness these ones have a way of taking up residence in our cell tissue, organs, in the physical and subtle bodies by way of freezing, holes, vacuum, pressure, heat, cold, contraction, restlessness, and claustrophobia. By regulating the intensity in the body first, coming back into our window of tolerance, grounding into the earth, and finding that place of resilience that is wired into this miracle human form we can then explore the meaning and make sense of what happened from a more resourced and soothed foundation. But if we start with thinking or analysis, spiraling out in shame and blame and attack, we can so easily drown, fall in, fuse, or become flooded. Our thinking, then, is unimaginative, not creative; partial, not whole; discontinuous, not integrated; as our whole being is organized around getting us out of the feelings that we once concluded were invalid, unworkable, and unsafe. By first providing a home, or sealed vessel, for the emotion to he contained, held, and modulated, we will be able to access the creative, slower, here-and-now faculties of the newer parts of the brain, reimagine and reorganize, and take action that is wise, skillful, and kind. Thinking and feeling can then work together, as lovers and companions and fellow travelers, to weave and sculpt a new neural environment, one lit up with warmth, connection, and empathic circuitry. One that is organized by the pathways of love which are shimmering and alive. Photo by Cristian Castillo
