Basically this means we react from frontal lobe (rational) rather than our reptilian (reactive) brain when labour is becoming intense. During pregnancy, constriction of the diaphragm will make breathing superficial and inhibited leading to repressed feelings and negatively influencing natural energy flow; and vice-a-versa: repressed emot...ions = stiffening of diaphragm. However, a growing baby certainly does not need to equate to a constricted diaphragm. Which still f*n blows my own mind to this day.
