This new lighting console is a state of the art desk that has been a long time coming for the school and will now allow the school to upgrade their lighting stock and improve their shows dramatically and creatively. 11.01.2022 ****ANNOUNCEMENT (NEW STAFF REQUIRED IN 2021)**** Moving Light Productions over the next coming months will be advertising for new staff through different social mediums due to the large number of new clients and shows being booked in for 2021 and 2022. We will be requiring experienced lighting designers, lighting technicians, supervising technicians and lighting board programmers. With the year ahead, the team at MLP are planning a very busy year particularly from March onwards moving into the second half of the year with several touring productions and large scale musicals where we will require lots of staff. 04.01.2022 MOVING LIGHT PRODUCTIONS AUSTRALIA have had a huge 2 months from April to June with a large array of commercial theatre shows and school productions. In April we started off with the return season of high energy Australian tour of MATADOR A DANCE, BURLESQUE SPECTACULAR returning home to HER MAJESTY’S THEATRE, Melbourne after 4 National Sell out tours across Australia the last two years. Matador also was the first show back at the iconic Her Majesty’s Theatre for over 14 mon...ths since it was shutdown due to Covid. From MATADOR the team at MLP along with Wick Lighting provided the lighting for Melbourne Opera’s production of MACBETH designed by Green Room Award winning designer Rob Sowenski. Lighting Designer Jason Bovaird (Moving Light Productions) designed the lighting for the Victorian Amateur Theatre Premiere of CPAC’s PRISCILLA at Cardinia Performing Arts Centre using a rig combing of 15 x 230Beam Sharpies, 20 x LED Art 200 spots, 12 x Pluto 2000 washes and a selection of Chavet Led Profiles as sidelight and cyclorama gobos. All this was controlled by the ETC ION running ethernet across the system. In May we moved into school production world with lighting designing shows such MATILDA(Strathcona Baptist Girls School), MARY POPPINS JRN (Shelford Girls College), PRIDE AND PREJUDICE (St Kevins College), LORD OF THE FLIES (St Kevins College), MATILDA (Kilvington Grammar School), HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL (Korowa Girls School), THE PYJAMA GAME (Ballarat Clarendon College).
