22.01.2022 Hi Everyone With great regret at this point I will have to postpone my Sydney to Victoria walk which was due to start next week. I would like to explain why I have had to come to this decision.... I have been suffering from a condition called Fibrous Dysplasia for over 23 years. I have managed it well over the years with infusions medication and exercise etc. Unfortunately it's not letting up this time. I did have an infusion earlier this week in the hope that I may get some relief. However I have had to go back into an off loading boot for me to see some improvement. My treating specialist had strongly advised me not to do this trip if I want any hope of some kind of recovery. This decision is very hard for me as I made a promise to help LIfeline. I do hope I am not a disappointment but I really have no choice if I want to continue on my quest of walking and raising money and awareness for Lifeline. Despite having to postpone this trip I am happy to say I have raised almost 25,000 for Lifeline. I am continuing to raise money and awareness for Lifeline during this recovery period and hope that you can all continue to help and will let you know when I will be rescheduling my next trip. Thank you all for your support. Marco Mangano

15.01.2022 Hey all since my injury as a result of my Long walk in 2014 and having to postpone my 2016 Syd to VIC walk. I have been looking at new ways of supporting charities that don't involve busting my leg! I have been trying very BLOODY hard to bring a LIFELINE stall to OZ COMIC COM held in June 2017 held at Sydney... Olympic Park. The demographic of the great guys who attend the CON fall into Lifeline's key demographic of people who may need to reach out for help. I have black dog days frequently since my trauma and I am lucky enough that I have the strength to fight through to the next day. Having something to focus on gives that to me. However there are many who don't have that and we need help them. I have asked PR Dept from lifeline to assist me in having a stall at the OZ COMIC CON not to raise money, but to help spread the word about Lifeline's great work. I have done the leg work, spoke to the organisers of the event etc, I am now waiting for confirmation from Lifeline before taking the next step. We are not talking about high profile football players with depression or a celeb chef who broke a wooden spoon, but ordinary young people from the suburbs. THESE PEOPLE ARE REAL PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP. I walked 900km in 2014 for the charity, and I want to keep raising awareness. Thanks to Comic Con for being so supportive, looking forward to Lifeline getting on board and hopefully this will go ahead. Thank you all for listening

12.01.2022 Morning everyone. Yes it's the festive season once again. While there is lots of excitement out and about not to mention the Christmas traffic and shops full of stressed out shoppers trying to buy presents for loved ones and also buying presents because they feel obligated.... Please keep in mind the less fortunate people out there not just the ones who can not afford the latest PlayStation or perfume. Remember there are just material things which fill the void for a short time. But I really want you all to keep in mind that the holiday season can have the opposite effect on some of us. Remember when you where a little Kid and excited about Santa coming? For some people the holiday season can bring Fear and anxiety and a deep sadness. I am not a psychologist so I will not try and explain it further but I am sure there are those of you out there that get what I mean. Be gentle to others as the thought of this time of year can cause some of us to become a little unraveled. Please remember enjoy your loved ones. Be nice be safe but please remember the holiday season is not the big party for everyone. And please remember be nice to those of out there who you consider odd :) And remember may the force be with you. Marco
