22.01.2022 It's NAIDOC Week, and this year’s theme is Always Was, Always Will Be. We acknowledge and celebrate the Tasmanian Aboriginal people who have been caring for an...d educating their children and young people on this island for tens of thousands of years. We pay our respects to elders’ past and present and to all the Aboriginal community members who work in our child and family centres, our schools, our libraries and our business units. And we acknowledge our Aboriginal learners right across the state who will be the strong community members and leaders of tomorrow. 21.01.2022 A rainy day is a great day to put on a coat and gum boots and play in the puddles. You could put out a bucket or some pots to catch some rain, or sing this rainy day song! https://youtu.be/tfteCPMkKJE

20.01.2022 It's not the type of pasta you'd expect from a gourmet chef, but it's probably much more exciting to look at. Playing with coloured pasta is a simple sensory ac...tivity and safe for those who still put everything in their mouths! 1. Cook some pasta 2. Put cooked pasta in separate snap-lock bags/containers with drops of food dye 3. Shake shake shake 4. Put coloured pasta into a container and let little fingers play! Other sensory activities can be found on the Learning at Home page of the DoE website: https://www.education.tas.gov.au/lear/birth-4-years-of-age/ #SensoryThursday

14.01.2022 Some good news for Term 3! Due to the easing of restrictions, schools have permission to resume LiL Programs. To ensure the health and safety of our families and our staff, strict hygiene, adult physical distancing and completion of a Visitior Health Screening Form are required. For the first part of Term 3 our focus will be on re-establishing programs for our Pre-Kindergarten students. Sessions times and days will differ from those in place earlier in the year, as we are ...restricting group size and factoring in cleaning procedures. Our Lil staff will be in contact with our Pre-Kinder families by phone to discuss attendance times. Once we have sucessfully re-established our Pre-Kinder sessions, we will contact our Playgroup families for their start date. We can't wait to see you all Lisa, Amy and Lara

07.01.2022 School term dates and professional learning days have been finalised for 2021 and are available on our website: https://bit.ly/2021TermDates If you'd like a... handy visual, we also have a printable calendar version that you can download and print for the fridge: https://bit.ly/2021TermDatesPDF PLEASE NOTE: The end date for Term 1 has been changed so that school holidays start straight after Easter.
