15.01.2022 THANK YOU to Australia's craft gin distillers. The Australian Gin Awards is now closed. We have received 250 entries which is an outstanding result. It is also ...the maximum we can accept. Chairman Bill Lark and CEO Judith Kennedy are thrilled with the response. "Largest entries of craft gin in the history of Australian distilling". Kennedy remarked "It goes to show that there is a lot of optimism despite the difficult times" The judging takes place in Sydney in early August. There were 50 entries into the Design Awards.The results will be announced on 3 September at a special event - A Day For Distillers. This is one such case. A damn fine gin, though you'll likely have trouble finding it around. If you happen upon it, try the following:... 6 parts gin 2 parts fresh lime 1 part simple syrup Shaken, served up, in the most #ostentatious stem you can find, for no particular reason. Also known as the 'Modern Gimlet' this is a distinctly different drink to the 'Gimlet' or 'Traditional Gimlet' if you prefer.
