21.01.2022 Last Thursday, on the 18th of March, we had Architect Mary-Ann Jackson to give a talk on equitable and accessible architecture and the built environment. Mary-Ann is a Registered Architect and an Accessibility Specialist, with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. She is the Director of Visionary Design Development Pty Ltd (https://www.vdd.com.au/index.html), a consulting firm specializing in accessibility and sustainability issues in the built environment. 20.01.2022 Yesterday, on the 26th of April, we had Dr Darragh O'Brien to give a talk on "Evidence Based Design in Architecture". Darragh is a principal of the Architectural Research Consultancy and was previously the founding director of the Spatial Research Group at Monash University, Melbourne. With over twenty years’ experience as an architect, he also holds a PhD on the evidence-based design of performative architectural space. Darragh specialises in post-occupancy analysis and has... developed a unique set of research tools, to help us understand the way people interact with the environments that we occupy. His current research focus is on the relationship between thought and play in the process of design. Darragh is the Managing Editor for the Evidence Based Design Journal (http://ebdjournal.com/).
