25.01.2022 ! MPK’s workforce took time out this week to mark the launch of a new employee engagement and mental health program being rolled out across the entire company. The multi-faceted program revolves around three pillars of mental and physical health and personal wellbeing, and thanks to genuine collaboration with MPK’s workforce during development, is highly-tailored to focus in on issues MPK employees said were important to ...them. Key to the success of the program is the building of a workplace culture supportive of positive mental health outcomes and ensuring employee awareness of typical mental health and wellbeing issues and behaviours. Relying heavily on personal participation in health and wellbeing initiatives, the program also monitors company wellness and provides a feedback mechanism so facilitators can gauge the program’s cut-through and buy-in with employees. During the program’s company-wide launch, MPK’s entire Executive and site-based leadership teams made commitments to support and promote initiatives that lead to better mental health outcomes, and to play a more active and visible role in reducing the stigma associated with mental health illness. To further bolster on-ground mental health support for employees, the program launch also introduced a 20-strong team of Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) that will now have a permanent presence across the company’s operations. The MHFA team, all employees working across MPK’s operations, recently completed an intensive mental health assistance course to equip them with the skills and knowledge to provide immediate support for any employee needing a helping hand. #mpckinetic #mpk #seeitsolveitdoit #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #healthandwellbeing #mentalhealthfirstaid #mentalhealthfirstaider

20.01.2022 , , ’ ! Our crews continued to scale new heights in Roma recently, with another group undergoing a skills refresher course in working at heights. Our Fluid Management and Wireline Intervention teams were put through their paces using descent control devices to ensure they could safely lower themselves from a boom to the ground manually. David Wyszecki and Jason Frost (photographed) were just two of the crew controlling their descent ...from an elevated work platform on the day. All passed with flying colours. Well done guys! 18.01.2022 ’ ! Over the past few weeks Toowoomba-based Engineering Manager Adrian Gustafson, Kewdale-based Regional Supervisor Adam Cooper and Surat Basin Poly Welder Mark Cassidy have been carefully manscaping their `taches to raise money for mental health and suicide prevention and for more research into prostate and testicular cancer. Adam went for a tradish tough guy mo and channelled his inner Chopper Reid, while Mark o...n the other hand opted for a more manly `tache - but it’s more like the suburb than the physique. And Adrian, well he went all out on a serious ear-to-ear handlebar get up, the likes of which no-one’s ever seen, like ever in the entire hirsute history of men’s moustaches. 13.01.2022 - ` ’ ! Two entries for MPK’s macho machine-themed `Photo of the Month’ comp caused controversy this week, when judges couldn’t reach a decision on who should take out the gong. Judges deliberated and pounded the table for hours (okay, it was 5 minutes, but we’re trying to build tension here folks) however they remained deadlocked on two superb macho machine entries.... After plenty of debate, agreement was reached that Will Jensen’s shot of our mighty machines getting into it during dam upgrade works on our Santos Fairview spread, was just as good as Ben O’Brien’s shot showcasing how we expertly use our fleet to execute works when delivering projects for Santos. So, there are two winners this month and MPK merch bags and $100 vouchers are on their way to Will and Ben. Great job lads! Keen to get yourself the same moolah and merch? Well, send in a pic and you could be in with a chance. The theme for May is Fly Out Day, so we want you to capture the glee, the excitement and the raw emotion that comes when you or your mates are heading home. PS: And don’t worry if it’s Drive Out Day and you’re on the Skinny Dog or using your own rig to get home it’s the sheer joy you’ve captured that will count with the judges. Good luck, get snapping and send them through to [email protected]! #mpckinetic #mpk #seeitsolveitdoit #happysnaps #photography #capture #photoofthemonth #MachoMachine #picoftheday
