23.01.2022 Our 2020 AGM is upon us! Event details can be found here: https://fb.me/e/37XuySHGV At this AGM, we will be electing the incoming 2020-2021 MPIRO Committee. From this moment, nominations for President, Secretary, Treasurer and five General Committee Member positions are now open. All nominations (in absentia or otherwise) can now be sent via email ([email protected]) or direct Facebook message to Returning Officers Lucy Vanderstelt-Gu, Natalie Szkolar or Tiffany Liu (Tiff Any ...on Facebook). A nomination is as simple as saying "I [name], nominate myself for the position of [position]" or words to that effect. Nominations will close at 5pm (AEST) on Monday 5th October. A list of nominations for each position will then be published on the Facebook event page for the AGM by 6pm (AEST) Monday 5th October. Nominees may provide a 1 minute video statement or 300 word statement describing why they should be selected by direct messaging a returning officer or emailing [email protected]. Statements will be uploaded to the Facebook event page once the nomination list has been published. Statements can be provided after a person has nominated themselves. Early voting is allowed. Those wishing to vote early may do so after a list of nominations is published by direct messaging a Returning Officer (Lucy, Nat or Tiff) or emailing [email protected]. This can be as simple as saying "I vote for [name] for the position of [position]" or words to that effect. Voting will also occur during AGM as is standard. Nominations for each position will be opened again for either exactly five minutes before the elections at the AGM, or such time necessary for those who wish to contest a position but have provided no written nomination by 5pm Monday 5th October (whichever is lesser). Any questions regarding any part of the electoral process should be directed to Lucy Vanderstelt-Gu either via direct message or [email protected].
