We are delighted that leading Sydney based community newspaper Australasian Muslim Times AMUST has featured our event last month at Masjid Ibrahim in its March edition. One of our volunteers, Raihanaty Jalil, was also kind enough to capture a wonderful account of the event, for which we are very grateful for. ... As well as helping the community and being a writer, Raihanaty is also a poet, speaker and trainer. 13.01.2022 ... As 2016 draws to a close, we've been reflecting on our contributions to and achievements in the Muslim and non-Muslim communities. Over the past 12 months, we're proud to have worked with the community to: - organise events at Jewish and Sikh temples;... - host camping, paddle boarding and mutlifaith indoor soccer activities; - provide mentorship to university students and graduates; - help people with employment opportunities, and - provide advisory assistance to several key organisations in the Muslim community. Our events and activities would not be possible without your help or participation, so we sincerely thank you for your support. We also wanted to recognise the personal commitment that our Co-Founder, Affy Bhatti gives to the multicultural sector through his ongoing work with the Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Interests Multicultural Advisory Committee. The Minister, Mike Nahan has asked that we share the broader achievements of our culturally and linguistically diverse communities, which can be found in the letter attached http://bit.ly/2ip8zCV We look forward to your continued support in 2017 and wish you a fabulous year ahead. #MPN #MPNConnect #ConnectingCommunities #GrassRoots #Interfaith #WA #Perth

05.01.2022 Perth's Jewish community newspaper, the Maccabean, covered the Tu B'Shvat or the 'New Year of the Trees' festival held at Temple David a few weeks ago. The Jewish community had kindly invited the Muslim and other communities to help them celebrate. The interest in our unity and friendship has been amazing and we hope that it continues to gather momentum.... Please help us build on this unity and friendship, by joining us at Masjid Ibrahim later this afternoon. #MPN #MPNConnect #Interfaith #ConnectingCommunities #MuslimProfessionals #DoGood #SatSriAkaal #Shalom #AssalamuAlaikum

04.01.2022 ... On Sunday 26 February, the Perth Muslim community welcomed people from the Sikh, Jewish and other communities, to what for many, was their first time in a mosque. This marked the third in a series of events that builds on friendships formed, highlights our common beliefs and celebrates religious pluralism. It also continued our 24 month collaboration with Turbans and Trust and Temple David. We were proud to host over 100+ people and give a guided tour of the mosque and i...ts features, as well as explain its connection to the local community and to Australia, as well as an opportunity to meet Muslims. The tour included a demonstration of why and how Muslims wash themselves before prayer (ablution); the steps involved with the ritualistic prayer, translated into English; a 'nasheed' or prayer chanted melodically; and finally an open Q&A session with the local Imam. If the lack of baklava and falafel remaining at the end of the night was anything to go by, we consider the event to be a success! Please enjoy and reflect on the photographs from Sunday, with special thanks to our photograher, Ma'en Abdulla for taking the time out to capture the event and to Cairo Cafe Canning Vale for catering. #MPN #MPNConnect #Interfaith #ConnectingCommunities #MuslimProfessionals #DoGood #SatSriAkaal #Shalom #AssalamuAlaikum #MasjidIbrahim

We really hope you can join us on such a special occasio...n. For those attending, please feel free to bring along a vegetarian friendly or fruit plate to share at the event.
