23.01.2022 This video is a comparison between the standard Sturmey hub and TRUBLU tuned Sturmey HUB. Showing just how much difference good bearings and spacer tubes can make.But bearings are just part of the story. IF you are sick of replacing and repairing trike wheels at each race then maybe the TRUBLU wheel is for you.These are now used by Top racing trike manufacturers(not only on TRUBLU trikes but also TRUMP trikes, G trikes and Harnetty racing trikes ) for their top racing mod...els because TRUBLU wheels are faster ,more reliable and last longer than any other.Each wheel is hand built ,stress relieved,tested for even maximum spoke tension ,using a special compound the nipples are locked in place (but may be trued if ever required) then wheels are finally roll tested to ensure they perform at the highest level. We specially designed and made these rims for the high cornering loads of racing trikes.Less time off the track for maintenance equals a faster trike and importantly less problems to worry about.Many customers report saving more than 6 seconds per lap with TRUBLU wheels, which over a 24 hour race really adds up. Because the wheel has minimal flex the trike is easier to control in corners and that minimal flex means spokes don't fatigue so the wheel lasts a long time. They actually save money too over cheaper wheels as fewer spare wheels and much lower maintenance are required.Typically it will be 3 years before spoke replacement is necessary. A recent customer who races several trikes told me he previously allowed for replacing 3 spare front wheels per trike per race but after we rebuilt his hubs with TRUBLU rims they have not had any failures. TRUBLU rims and wheels are available in the 349 (16")size commonly used in racing. We have complete TRUBLU wheels with Dt Swiss spokes ,race spacers and Japanese race bearings available for $250 or for a more cost effective solution we can respoke TRUBLU rims into your old Sturmey hubs with DT spokes to make them near bulletproof and at the same time replace spacers and fit Japanese race bearings all for $195.Or you can buy the rims,spokes ,bearings,spacers or hubs separately and DIY(although if you want long lasting wheels probably better to let us build them). 22.01.2022 Looks like the upcoming Maryborough Energy Breakthrough Event this weekend will see some rain and warm temperatures. I would advise fitting a large NACA vent at the front of the mid screen between overhead bars.A deflector made of curved coreflute is used to direct air from vent to riders face for most effective cooling,(see VIDEO) The vent is mounted from underneath plastic mid screen and a matching hole cut into mid screen. We have the NACA vents for $40 each. On Nighthawk... fairings to increase airflow in warm or foggy conditions the rear velcro screen may be removed without much detriment to speed, also set front screen in overbite position. Looks like it will be rainy at maryborough so fogging is likely-dont use rain x defog on inside screen as it can degrade plastic-BUT there is a rain x product for plastic outside of screen to make water bead and increase screen clarity See more

17.01.2022 I've had a few enquiries about cost on The Monster MRT.It is not a production version yet as i am still doing final testing but i would expect it would be about $3800

16.01.2022 I have been working on a different project recently just for a bit of fun .A monster version of the MRT touring trike.It has an upgraded frame and 26 x 4 inch tyres.Interestingly it does not seem slow (as i would have expected with the larger heavier tyres).So far i've had good feedback from everyone who has ridden it and the ride is very smooth.The comparison photo gives a good indication just how much bigger these tyres are even though its possible to get wider ones i think its enough.The Big Apple tyres used on the standard MRT and magnum look absolutely tiny in comparison.Seat height is about the same as the highest setting on a Greenspeed Magnum .
