24.01.2022 Privileged to be invited to attend this forum. A great initiative by the AOA, aimed at building leadership amongst its members.

13.01.2022 Well done Perth! Never have I felt so privileged to live in the most isolated capital city in the World. With our isolation, lack of density and aggressive approach to social distancing our Coronavirus infection rates are impressively low. That being said, my sympathies are extended to the families affected by this tragic pandemic. Personally, this enforced slow down has been used to have some well overdue family time and recharge the batteries! It certainly has made me a...ppreciate how truly lucky I am. With elective surgery due to recommence in limited capacity from Tuesday April 28, I am really excited to get back into Theatre. I would like to extend my thanks to all my patients for their understanding and patience over this difficult period. Comment below on what you have been able to do that was positive during this forced isolation time:

11.01.2022 Adolescents! More than just a pain in the neck, a pain in the hip and knee too! Last night was the second education session Mr Ryan Lisle, Mr Nicholas Frost and Mr Andrew Wallis presented to some wonderful Physiotherapists of Perth. We would like to thank those that attended and we look forward to hosting more interactive education sessions in the future!

11.01.2022 ACL injuries have potential lifelong ramifications. The implications are even worse in the paediatric population. Prevention is possible.

11.01.2022 Early detection and treatment are the keys to ensuring the best possible outcome.

10.01.2022 It was great to have some of the Physiotherapists from the Midland Physiotherapy Team attend our education session! They have been fantastic for our patients in the Eastern suburbs and surrounds

10.01.2022 To the best PA in the business! Alana has been an integral part of the team for the last 3 years and we couldn’t do what we do without her! #neverleave

09.01.2022 ACL injuries in young people can be traumatic for the whole family. At Hollywood Private Hospital, we'll take care of you all, through diagnosis to surgery & rehabilitation.

08.01.2022 The rooms will be closed over the long weekend and will re-open Tuesday, 23rd April at 9am. We wish you all a very happy and safe Easter

08.01.2022 Paying respect to our Anzacs was a little different this year, as we participate in ‘light up the dawn’. At the end of our driveways today, we remember those who served and sacrificed their lives. Lest we Forget. Our rooms will be closed on Monday 27th April, but re-open Tuesday 28th April. We hope you have a happy and safe long Anzac weekend.

05.01.2022 We recognise the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and would like to offer some reassurance to our patients and Health Care Providers. The health and well-being of our patients is top priority and we are doing everything we can at our rooms to uphold that. We would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding during this rapidly changing situation. Hollywood Orthopaedic Group have made some important changes to minimise the risk of COVID-19 to patients and the ...team as a whole. APPOINTMENTS: Every patient has been receiving information included in their reminder text message that states if they or a family member has travelled overseas within the last 14 days, has flu like symptoms or is generally unwell to call our rooms immediately. We are also in the middle of transitioning our high risk patients over to Skype reviews or Phone call review appointments. WAITING ROOM: We have strict signs at every entry advising not to enter if unwell (listing symptoms) and that our space is not to be used as a thoroughfare (minimising the amount of patients traveling through our rooms). We have hand sanitiser present at our reception desk, which all patients are welcome to use. We have also separated the chairs in our waiting room to practice social distancing while you wait for your appointment. If necessary to have someone accompany you to your consultation, please keep this to a 1 person limit only. This is important to help limit the amount of patients in our waiting room at one time. SURGERIES: *EDITED WITH UPDATE* All non-urgent Public surgeries at St John of God Hospital (Midland) have been cancelled. We are working hard on contacting all of our patients that had a surgery date. They will be placed back onto our Waiting List in date order, to be contacted again when Public Theatre re-opens. In regards to Private surgeries and the recent announcement from the Prime Minister, these too have been cancelled until further notice. We will be contacting booked patients to advise of this. If you have any questions, please contact Alana on 93893877 or [email protected] See more
