17.01.2022 Our roads should be safe for everyone, especially vulnerable road users. We've teamed up with the Motorcycle Riders Association - ACT this month to ask all roa...d users to be mindful of motorcyclists on our roads. Please keep an eye out for riders, give them plenty of space on the road and always obey the road rules. Please ensure if you are riding a motorcycle you always wear appropriate safety gear, drive to the conditions and stick to the speed limit. Let's work together to make sure everyone gets home safely.

09.01.2022 This Road Policing motorcycle is the only one of its kind in Australasia and one of only a few in the world! What makes it so special? It has been fitted out wi...th one-of-a-kind Automated Number Plate Recognition technology. The bike hosts several high definition video cameras that can accurately capture a vehicle's licence plate information from almost all angles of the bike. It is continually scanning vehicles on the road and if the data captured from the cameras indicates that a vehicle is unregistered, uninsured, or stolen, the system will alert the officer riding the bike in real time, so they can quickly respond. This motorcycle, along with other Road Policing vehicles could be anywhere, anytime to make sure drivers are doing the right thing and keeping our roads safe. A big shout out to the very talented members from our Road Policing and Radio Technician Teams for their amazing work on the bike!
