24.01.2022 Team Tributary at the Mary River, Walli mtn were lucky to have some water to test today! Surprisingly the shallow body of water was at 80%saturation for dissolved oxygen, which is great for aquatic critters p.s. sorry about the wind in the background

12.01.2022 Team Mary just finished up at the Goomong offtake. It has tested similar to previous years, but salinity has dropped 200 points lower than normal due to low flow.

11.01.2022 Bit of a rough one for Team Mary at Walker Road Bridge, Moy Pocket. The temperatures are sitting at around the same as previous years, but pH is high and the DO level is extremely high, which is unfortunate for aquatic life . These are dictated by the little to no flow of the river. This may be the lowest that we’ve seen this site in the last 18 years .

11.01.2022 February is right around the corner and you know what that means - FIND A FROG IN FEBRUARY IS BACK AGAIN FOR 2021! Our resident 'Frog Lady' Eva will be delivering workshops throughout the catchment, where she'll be talking all things amphibian, as well as taking you out to do some frog finding. These workshops are always a hit - so make sure to secure your spot! RSVPS ARE ESSENTIAL... For more information about these events, please contact the MRCCC on (07) 5482 4766. Want to know more about FFF? Head to https://mrccc.org.au/frog-in-february/ Noosa and District Landcare Mary Cairncross Reserve

08.01.2022 Our Resource Centre is now closed until Monday the 11th of January. Have yourselves a 'Mary' Christmas and we'll look forward to seeing you in the new year!

08.01.2022 Team Mary is at Charles St Park, Kenilworth - our last sites before lunch! Temperatures and dissolved oxygen (DO) both downstream and upstream of the mouth at Obi Obi were lower than previous years. These DO results are a great thing as both sites are now sitting within the guideline, which is awesome news for aquatic life! Big thanks to our friends Susie Duncan (Hinterland Bush Links) and Jennifer Nichols (ABC News) for coming down to chat with us!

08.01.2022 This Friday, 4th December, SoMa SoMa Espresso in Gympie is hosting a Wild Harvest Dinner with special guest Zela Bissett, who will be using a range of flavours featuring bush tucker plants growing locally: warrigal greens, Bunya kernels, lilly-pillies and lemon myrtle. All dishes are vegetarian with plant-based options. Most are gluten-free. Call SoMa SoMa for bookings 07) 5482 1467

07.01.2022 Team Tributary had a chatty and batty audience at Six Mile Creek at Cooran this morning pH was slightly acidic, very scummy on the surface and higher turbidity compared to previous years. We're headed to test Six Mile Creek, upstream and downstream of Lake MacDonald now

06.01.2022 Team Mary just tested at Little Yabba Picnic Area! Little Yabba Creek isn’t flowing, so samples were taken from the Mary. Temperatures and pH tested similar to the previous three years. Electrical conductivity tested similar to 2018 and a little lower than 2019. There were a number of turtles (see photos) catching some rays on some logs that have fallen into the water. This makes for fantastic habitat for these little creatures. See you at Charles Street Park, Kenilworth!

05.01.2022 ENTRIES CLOSE TODAY! Only a few hours to go! Get your Spring in the Mary Photo Competition entries in by 5pm! : "World's deadliest animal" - Michelle Honey (Open Category Winner 2019)

04.01.2022 Team Tributary completed testing at Six Mile Creek up and downstream of Lake Mac with the assistance from Ilana from Noosa and District Landcare and Jan from Noosa Shire Council, thank you both for coming along both sites were cooler than previous years Turbidity was higher at the upstream site plenty of frogs calling though we're now on our way to test a Mary River site near Carters Ridge and then we'll catch up with Team Mary and visitors at Charles St Park, Kenilworth

03.01.2022 Team Mary just finished up water testing at Policeman’s Spur Road, Conondale - our first site for the Catchment Crawl 2020! Temperature is sitting at 16 degrees. Very similar to it’s temperature in 2018 but a couple of degrees cooler than 2019. Stay tuned for more updates further on in the day!

03.01.2022 She’s looking a little overcast at Grigor Bridge, Conondale for Team Mary! Water temps are a little cooler than previous years, sitting at 22 degrees. Electrical conductivity is sitting at 321, a little lower than the past few years also. Off to Little Yabba!
