19.01.2022 Aaaand some good news for the health and dental sector. And of course, for our patients From 27th of April, were moving to Level 2 restrictions! ... The AHPPC ( Australian Health Protection Principal Commitee ) has announced that it supports the current recommendations by the Australian Dental Association (ADA) that dentists now move to level 2 restrictions which will allow a broader range of interventions to be undertaken, including all dental treatments that are unlikely to generate aerosols or where aerosols generated have the presence of minimal saliva/blood due to the presence of rubber dam. Not sure what it means for you, if your treatment can be done? Just give as a call on 9391 1050, well be happy to guide you through. Meanwhile, stay safe and wash your hands! See more

18.01.2022 So, what are we doing now at MRDS? Since a degree of confusion still seems to exists, here is a list of most common procedures that we can ( and do) undertake : ... Examinations/ check-ups Hygiene/periodontal treatments are done by hands scale only (no ultrasonic scalers) All restorative procedures are provided under rubber dam isolation (if rubber dam cant be put on, then it will be postponed until safe to do so) Tooth extractions; surgical extractions are referred to oral surgeons Dentures Please note that if youre experiencing flue like symptoms, fever, cough, or feeling unwell, please contact us to reschedule your appointment. Please also attend to your appointment by yourself unless the assistance of a parent, carer or guardian is required. If such assistance is needed, please notify us, since theyll have to be triaged as well. For more info on whats happening prior to your appointment and when you arrive at the surgery, please head to our website( link in bio) or call us on 9391 1050. Meanwhile stay safe and wash your hands ! See more

17.01.2022 True story ! Pre-lockdown though.. However lockdown or not, don’t ignore your oral health. Pain, swelling, ulcers, need to be attended. ... And if you’re not sure if you need to be seen, we’re only a phone call away at 9391 1050.

16.01.2022 The team at Melbourne Road Dental Surgery wishes you all a happy, safe and sunny Easter . We’ll be back on Tuesday, the 6th of April. See you then!

15.01.2022 Do you know that we are in Spotswood? Does that name sounds familiar? Thats right, its in that suburb where you came on a school trip (some time ago) or where you brought your little ones to see the amazing @scienceworks_melb . Isnt that place awesome?Cant wait to go there again ... Aaand, were so close to the public transport, that you dont need to drive (but we have parking on site). On a sunny day, you can even have a walk from the train station to our surgery. Not from the bus station... cause were just in front of it. So no more excuses: its hard to find parking, its traffic or hard to reach. Pick up the call 93911050 and organise your appointment. See you there! See more

09.01.2022 It’s no secret that here at MRDS we looove Bluey ! Many laughs we had! And dare we say, even heated discussions on which episode was the absolute best were heard around MRDS. So when we saw the adventures of Ding Jing sang by Bluey ( while hand washing) we couldn’t help but sing along . ... Tell us, which one is your favourite episode? P.S. huge congrats to @daley_pearson and the whole team at Ludo for the Emmy’s ! ( a bit late for congrats, but life in ISO does that to one ).

01.01.2022 Even if the photo was taken pre Covid-19, the message stands. And is more important than ever. Restrictions, isolation, home schooling - parents, were *sooo* feeling you - leads to increased trips to the pantry or fridge. Say its not true, we dare you. ( And if by now you dont know your way, with eyes closed, to the snacks stashed high up on the 2nd shelf from the top, then youre a living, breathing Unicorn . Not a person coping in ISO..And youre not real ) ... However, increased snacking, whether in quantity, quality or frequency of intake, can do serious damage to the health of the teeth and your mouth. And we know that a healthy mouth with its own array of bacteria is the first line of defense against pathogens, aka *mean bad bugs*. So whats the solution? Simple : Dont Rush When You Brush! So go ahead, eat, snack, indulge, but dont forget brushing..And water. Lots of it, lots of both actually. Eat, snack, drink water, brush, repeat. Ohhh, and wash your hands! See more
