22.01.2022 SPRINGFIELD LAKES UPDATE: If you're in Springfield Lakes and surrounds and your home has suffered severe structural storm damage, for safety reasons, our crews ...will disconnect your home from the grid via the primary fuse and your property will be issued a Form 3. As Kris Ryan explains below, if your property has been issued a Form 3 you will need to contact a licensed electrical contractor to certify your property has had damage rectified and is electrically safe to restore to the network. Your contractor will then contact us and we will reconnect your home to the Energex network. Because of the extensive damage to Springfield Lakes and surrounds many areas will not have power restored until tonight. 15.01.2022 Good evening everybody, I have a question to ask. I am asking for a bit of feedback about Australian made products, I am aware as a country we do what we can to support the industry but sometimes cost outweighs the importance of buying locally manufactured goods. The question in tow is regards to the solar market; ... there are solar products out there (solar panels, inverters etc) but are at a higher price than the norm that is on the market, so the question is..... Are we buying because its Aussie made/products we know or cost? We have an opportunity to supply Aussie made solar panels and inverters, the warranties are not the same as our QCell or LG manufacturers but they are made in Australia for Australian conditions, the cost is the equivalent however. Some feedback would be great and we do appreciate the time for having a read and giving us your thoughts. Regards Mr Ham (Byron)

10.01.2022 As we are well aware of all the damage that has happened with the freak hail storm that came through. I would like to show some insight regarding solar panel damage. These systems we inspected today were not damaged to the naked eye but once we put the thermal image onto them you could see visible impact marks from the hail. The one photo shows a whole array on another roof which we were interested in because it was not visually impacted, once we got the thermal on the array... you could see one panel had a visible impact damage. We have been trying to do what we can in the area to get people back to normal. We will be back in the area after lunch tomorrow to help where we can. Shoot through a text and we will try our best to help with Form 3s from Energex and disconnecting solar to make safe. If there is anything else we can do to help let us know.
