16.01.2022 Keep Australia’s longest running blues music venue alive http://gofundme.com/f/thebluestrain2020 June saw us hopeful and preparing for potential October trains, we were rostering staff and booking our artists for a return. Unfortunately, we have a second wave of COVID across Victoria, dealing us with a second blow and extending our foreseeable chance to return. We can no longer do this alone.... Despite some upcoming Government assistance plus Hugo T’s Superannuation injection, our bank account is almost dry. JobKeeper has kept our loyal crew going, but time is literally ticking. Bills keep adding up. With no other income since March these Government injections alone, will just not enough to keep The Blues Train alive until a safe return. Our go fund me page has a list of the bills that we need to meet over the next six months naturally this doesn’t include the bills that we’ve been paying for the previous six months therefore we need to raise at least $60,000 moving forward. Many of the supplies the local businesses and we are 100% committed to coming back as soon as it is safe but we need your help now. obviously this is a decision that has been difficult to make but at the end of the day we feel it’s much more important that people are given the opportunity to support the blues train rather than let it fail never to return. Thanks so much from Hugo T Armstrong founder of the Blues Train established 1994

15.01.2022 This is unbelievable news for our industry. I want to personally thank everybody from Music Victoria and Creative Victoria as well as Lisa Neville MP and Christine Couzens MP as plus their staff. Also Martin Foley MP and Dan Andrews and the Government Victorian Labor plus Kate and Ainslie at Bay City Events, my wife Desiree and all our supporters. We still have a long way to go but this will go a long way to stabilise the business loses to date. 01.01.2022 Geelong is resisting any moves to be saddled with Melbourne's harsh extended lockdown. The Premier flagged the city was at risk of tougher restrictions, but lo...cals say what's in force now is already too much. www.7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS
