08.01.2022 I've been making this tea since my first semester of naturopathic college - Herbal Manufacturing was so much fun! When I made a particularly strong batch for my younger brother, he asked for more "doom tea" and the name stuck. I'm feeling snotty today so I'm cancelling my plans, brewing up some of this and chilling out (as much as possible with a 3 and 6 yr old, anyway!). Hope you're having a great Sunday

05.01.2022 I’m back on the smoothie train and loving it! Obviously, smoothies are good for on-the-go breakfast but even on a quiet day, I like sipping at a smoothie while wandering around peering at my plants. 04.01.2022 Food IS medicine! I want to help people eat in a way that supports their health instead of always relying on supplements. I think supps have their place, of course, especially with deficiencies, but I worry about all those jars and bottles ending up in landfill, and I know that many people simply can’t afford a lot of expensive supplements. So I’ll be working on some handouts on foods to increase in your diet to help with various ailments. I want to give bang for your buck, s...o to speak, so I’m interested in seeing which foods contain not just one beneficial nutrient, but two or three nutrients that have all been shown to benefit a particular issue. Enter, the Venn diagram For cardiovascular disease, I’ve chosen magnesium for its effects on smooth muscle and stress, potassium for its role in regulating blood pressure and essential fatty acids for their anti inflammatory and triglyceride lowering actions.
