06.01.2022 It’s all hands (and paws) on deck as we restore the landmark Old Mill. Yesterday we even enlisted the help of a very well trained Cocker Spaniel, Emmy, as part ...of our pest inspection work. Emmy is a termite detection dog, trained to sniff out destructive pests in the most difficult to reach places. The major restoration project will conserve the historical value of the 185 year old flour mill. External paint is being removed, the limestone and brick walls refurbished before both the mill and cottage is repainted and new sails installed. We’re pleased to report that Emmy is not just an extremely cute face and was an excellent help with the inspection. The newly restored Old Mill will be open towards the end of the year.
