25.01.2022 There is nothing more exciting than some raw ingredients just waiting to be turned into our delicious sauces! We are so lucky to be in such a rich region and source so much of our produce from right around the corner. They give our sauces an amazing flavour and vibrant colour!

19.01.2022 It’s that time of year and we think our amazing team deserves a break. Our last day of trade will be December the 20th for Dickson and 22nd for Fyshwick and we will be opening again on the 11th of January. We’re going to take some time, recoup and come back bigger, better and more excited. 12.01.2022 Happy New Year from the Mr Papa team, It is no surprise that 2020 has been incredibly difficult. In March, as you know, COVID-19 hit. The government put the necessary restrictions in place, and we lost close to 100% of our business overnight. If we are honest, there were thoughts of maybe finishing up and closing down. We can’t describe the feeling of having a business you have built over years and years, put everything you had into, built a family around, be on the verge of... ending. What could we even do? Would we be able to survive if we did keep going? Would it be worth the pain? If we did survive, could we build it back to where it was?? These were the question we were faced with. In the end, we felt like we owed everyone who supported us to keep trying, and we did. The only difference was this time we had our supporters and our Mr Papa family. We really want to thank that family from the bottom of our hearts. We had staff members doing things they had never done, running hours that were far from ideal, working with a Jobkeeper program that was far from certain only the determination to make it work and keep us afloat. So to the Mr Papa team, thank you, thank you so much. Then there are you guys, our supporters, the people who had Mr Papa delivered week after week. The people in our DM’s asking us how they could help. Every order counted. You guys are truly what kept us alive. Losing so much business in such a short period of time is brutal, and it was the tiny bits, and pieces of the kept us going. We had to reposition, start doing things a little differently, and we have a long way to go. Because of you guys, We felt like we were never alone, because of the community, other businesses, the government and our team. Now due to that support, we have opened the Mr Papa Fyshwich location. The new home of Mr Papa. It was a big risk, but we felt it was important to bring you the best possible Mr Papa experience. It is such an exciting and genuinely thrilling end to the year. We want to thank you for getting us through 2020. We genuinely can’t wait for 2021 to kick off, this is going to be an amazing year with a bigger and better Mr Papa! More events, more functions, more exciting projects!

Carlos woke at 5am and spent his weekends going to the local markets with his uncle. Together they would speak to local food vendors, hear the stories behind the food and search for the best produce for his grandparents catering business in Lima, Peru. 04.01.2022 Meet Moncho! The other genius mind behind Mr Papa and the calm chill soul of our family. Moncho graduated with a degree in food engineering and developed a deep wealth of experience working for many amazing companies in South America before moving here 7 years to start Mr Papa! Outside of Mr Papa he is an incredibly talented guitarist, attending the National Conservatory of Music in Peru and performing in many local bands!... Moncho is a huge part of our family and Mr Papa would not be the same without him!
