13.01.2022 Most weeks Sunday’s for us is our only day off and out and about day! We currently have a tight budget and means we have to plan ahead to make great savings where we can everyday so we get to enjoy these days out with our little family each week. Todays outing was motocross at Launceston Junior MX so preparing ahead and getting up earlier to put on the slow cooker today was a huge saving as it means a hearty good meal is waiting at home for when we return home. Tonight’s me...al was Beef Guinness Stew with sweet potato/kennebec mash. Bonus is we have enough leftover from this batch for tea tommorrow night!! Total cost $38 for two lots of tea for 4 people each time so that’s $19 feeding a family of 4 with generous servings. Completely sourced all ingredients from local supplies which was the veggies (Hill Street Grocer Latrobe), meat (Best Butchery Deloraine) and condiments (Kosie Country Made our own product line) and Guinness was purchased from local bottle shop. 05.01.2022 On ANZAC Day, I love to bake these beauties to remember my own family members and extend thoughts to those that were so courageous and brave to stand and fight for freedom and peace. I like to pass my thoughts onto the ones that didn’t come home and the ones that did and how they themselves and their families were forever changed. 03.01.2022 Relaxation and refilling our cups back up for ourselves comes in so many different forms and we ALL deserve and need that time! I really enjoy drafting out and creating costumes it’s a favourite for me and fills me up so I am ready to go again.
