16.01.2022 This week has me bedding down an enterprise that was our guide through the past year. It’s also been a week spent with a vibrant collection of specialists and their uplifting work, which continues during harvest and for me, this time of togetherness and thanks-giving. Precious oils, nuts, cheese, yogurt, tomatoes, eggs, gin, chillies, garlic, lamb, wine, eau de vie, cider, beer, capers, honey, apples, quince, vermouth, olives, shio koji, miso, vinegar and blossoms are all at hand in our region. I’m sure there is more. To the growers and makers, your drive and dedication keep me curious and forward facing. I hope my ways with your wares always do them justice.
