23.01.2022 Why your critics aren’t the ones who count. Epic three minutes of inspiration and wisdom from Brene x https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s6DQrqVHxM #daringgreatly #getinthearena #vulnerabilityispower

12.01.2022 Author Michael Hyatt says The busier you are, the more intentional you must be. I tend to agree. Do you ever notice when you're busy, how easy it is to just ‘lose a day’ in a haze of automaticity, just going through the motions? And how easy it is then, to lose touch with your values, your true priorities, and even your wellbeing?... One of my favorite mini-practices to use in daily life (especially when I am busy) is to take three mindful breaths and then reflect on the question, ‘What is most important now?’ This moment of pause allows us to pull out of autopilot mode and reconnect with matters most. It’s an opportunity to check-in and reset our course so I can live more intentionally, and that matters because in the words of Richie Norton Intentional living is the art of making our own choices before others’ choices make us. 10.01.2022 Go into this week with the attitude that your peace, your health of mind, and your heart... mean more than getting everything else done. That your smile matters, That feeling rested matters. That holding the hand of your loved one's matter. So pause lots, function at a pace that doesn’t pull you apart. Honour the things that make you feel good inside, the things that make you feel alive. Give time to those things this week. Make time the gift it is, by giving it to what really matters to you. S.C. 09.01.2022 Mindfulness helps us recognize when we’re caught up in unhelpful thoughts and gives us the choice to let them go. During the practice we step back from thoughts and also emotions, observing what’s going on in the mind. This watching of our inner commentary is the first step to releasing ourselves from it and resting in a deeper place within ourselves. A place of stillness, contentment, and ease.... 09.01.2022 We’ve all been there, right? Grumpy day. Everything sux. And sometimes it's for a bloody good reason. Maybe we just experienced a loss, a heartbreak, or a disappointment. It’s natural to feel a bit crappy sometimes. Other times though, it's because we are wearing ‘crap coloured lenses’. Our mind is ruminating on what is not good enough, what is lacking, what it dislikes. ... The mind does this because thanks to evolution our brain has a ‘negativity bias’ that can leave us feeling really grumpy and ill-tempered if we’re not careful, so it’s important to learn how to counter it so that we can bring more lightness, joy, and fun back into our lives. In this post, I share how to train your mind to counter the negativity bias and take off the crap coloured lenses and enjoy a greater quality of life. https://mrsmindfulness.com/stop-running-from-your-shadow-s/
