25.01.2022 Check out these Ceramic coated satin rims after 8 months in the Aussie outback! If you've ever owned satin or matte black wheels you would know they turn to shit within 6-12 months or so. A bitch to clean too! These were coated from brand new then straight out on a 12 month outback adventure around Australia. ... Rest of the car was still immaculate, perfectly maintained by the owner after full correction and coating about a year ago. Full coating reset wash.... Paint correction on freshly painted right side. Polish and jewelled then recoated with 22PLE Mistico Elemento. 15.01.2022 It's Finally Finished!!! The 56' Buick Roadmaster is done. Over 190hrs work to create the crisp reflections and nearly dead flat paint.... Taking a reasonable looking $10k paint job to $30k showcar level look for a quarter of the price. Involving: Hand wet sanding with big blocks (till I had no fingerfingerprints left) removing sand scratches correction polishing jewelling Finished with 2 x coats of 22ple Mistico Elemento Safe to say the owner couldn't hide his smile when he saw the final result. 12.01.2022 Heres a Holden VE Calais that was supposed to receive a single stage but was way to far gone for that. A 2 stage paint enhancement was chosen to try bring it back to life without the cost and time involved in a full paint correction. A slight improvement was achieved bringing this Holden back from the dead to say the least!... Once heavily cut then a single stage all in one cut, polish and primer compound was used to create some nice gloss and prime the paint for an entry level ceramic glass coating to be applied. 2-3 years protection and with proper care and safe wash methods hopefully it never gets this bad again!!!

03.01.2022 A Masarati Ghibli in for a full correction and top shelf ceramic coating package this week. The front end has just been resprayed, leaving some lovely pigtails and sanding marks. The rest of the car looks like someone has given it a "quick buff". Buffer trails (holograms) and swirl marks galore. A massive job to get this awesome car looking it's best but Mr.Spot's got this!... After video to come!

02.01.2022 This lovely Ford G6E Turbo received a single stage paint enhancement and entry level ceramic coating yesterday. What's involved in a single stage enhancement and entry level coating you say? I'm glad you asked. Here's a simple explanation of the process. ... At first glance the G6E was already in pretty good condition, but after spraying an iron fallout remover all over the car, it started to react and turn red showing heavy brake dust contamination. What is iron fallout? Usually its caused by rail dust, grinder sparks or brake dust. Its basically tiny specs of red hot metal that fall and embed into the paint and start to rust over time. Giving the dirt something to stick too and one of the reasons why your car always seams to get dirty quickly after a wash. First the vehicle is pre-treated with iron remover to remove the metal without scrubbing it into the surface and scratching the clear coat. Next a thick layer of snow foam is used to loosen and soften dirt and grime and pressure washed off to remove as much as possible before ever touching the painted surface. Then its snow foamed again to give maximum suds and hand washed with plush micro fibre wash mitts. (Never use sponges or chamios on modern paint! They hold lots of water but just push the dirt into the surface) After the suds are rinsed off, a clay bar is rubbed over the surface to remove more bonded contaminants embedded in the paint. The picture of the clay shows how much is stuck still, even after presoaking and washing. A small section pulled of a tonne more iron and other crap embedded in the clear coat that hand washing alone wont budge. Once the paint is deep cleaned and dried, its time for a single stage paint enhancement. Using a two in one cut and polish compound that cuts out scratches and swirl marks then breaks down, turning into a polish to shine the surface on a large throw dual action polishing machine. That doesnt leave behind holograms or buffer trails. Each panel is slowly worked until the whole car is glowing. Once polishing is done an alchohol based panel wipe is used to remove any polish residue and oils left behind that will prevent the coating from bonding with the surface. Only then can a high quality quartz (silica dioxide, the same stuff they use to make glass!) coating is meticulously applied to every inch of the car. Then wiped level to leave a permanent protective layer that locks in the beautiful finish for years to come! Once cured a quality ceramic coating is highly resistant to acid and alkaline, it's hydrophobic meaning water rolls of the surface and makes it harder for dirt to stick and embed into the paint. Once your car is coated it will look amazing, stay cleaner for longer and be easier to clean for years!
