Pre-purchase, you can find out which age group this is suitable for and what art materials you may need. 20.01.2022 If you want to do some fabric printmaking then these are the inks you need! No need for heat setting, they just need 7 days and they are good to go. My tea towel, which is used weekly has worn so well, no fading etc. Not the cheapest tool in the shed but definitely money well spent! Head to www.mrsreds.com.au and type in speedball.

18.01.2022 I call this pencil brand the outsider who snuck in and almost took out number 1 in the Compare the Pear blog post. Jasart is definitely not as well known as the other 3 brands but they really stood out and were the cheapest of the brands as well. 13.01.2022 There is good news for Brusho fans! My supplier is slowly getting more colours back in and I put an order in today for these. We are getting closer to being able to have all stock back on our shores. As soon as this happens, the BRUSHO Cart will be released! I wanted to release this Cart 2 months ago but am patiently waiting, like everyone else!

12.01.2022 This peacock has been done by Pacey, 13 yrs old and in Yr 7. Apparently 'dared' by a friend to enter the competition and not overly confident in the end result. Well Pacey, we all LOVE your peacock and the fact that you even started is so much better than a lot of people. Its artworks like this that make me smile because you have put your time and effort into it and need to be really proud of the outcome So, if you are feeling like Pacey and don't think your work is good ...enough, push those thoughts aside and be proud that you are giving it a go. Who cares what anyone else thinks anyway! Remember, the deadline has been extended to 15th Dec so plenty of time to get cracking and complete your peacock. And with $120 of art supplies up for grabs, it is a worthwhile little activity and I can promise you, that you will enjoy the creativity that it brings!

12.01.2022 6 year old Scarlett has painted this gorgeous seahorse and outlined it with a black marker pen. Another budding artist in the midst! Today is the last day to get your Seahorse entries in. They need to be emailed to me at [email protected] to be valid and go in the draw for the $160.00 art pack prize. The winning entry will be announce by spinning a wheel of names. Following competitions will be done by public vote.

06.01.2022 If you are looking for some watercolours to use with mixed media artworks, then I recommend these Superior watercolour swatches. The come in 18, 25, 33 and 42 and include an aqua brush in all sets. I used this swatch in the Mixed Media Peacock Challenge and very happy with brightness that I could get and not having to add a great deal of water to the brush to get a solid colour. 06.01.2022 Well, my jaw dropped when I saw this gorgeous artwork! So much time and effort into this Queen of the Sea! Annmaree explains.... Queenie was an introvert and didn't like being the centre of attention. One day she woke up differently and decided she was tired of living in the shadows, and wanted to step into her own unique power. Put your sunnies on and meet Queenie, queen of the seahorses. She is now living in full colour, shining bright for all creatures of the sea.... She is A3, and I have used lots of watercolour and acrylic ink in bright colours and metallics, I have also used posca paint pens. She is already in a frame and so she should be, thankyou again Annmaree, your efforts are amazing! Only today and tomorrow left to get your entries in for the Mixed Media Seahorse Challenge. 05.01.2022 I am Mrs Red, a qualified Art Teacher, with an online art shop, selling art supplies, project boxes & online art lesson which commence in February 2021. I am also a wife to one, mum to three and a lover of swimming in the ocean and drinking a glass of wine. The mug I am holding in this photo is now 25 years old. I bought 4 of these in one of the quaint side alleys of Rundall Mall, Adelaide, South Australia and they were my very first purchase of anything I knew I wanted to keep (I saved for months to buy them as I was a full time student studying Graphic Design back then). To this day, I still drink my morning cups of tea from them and not one has a chip in them - that's quality you don't see now days!
