25.01.2022 Mrs Toddy’s Tonic has been off Instagram for a few weeks to refuel, refocus and reset. Internationally it’s been a time of unrest. Whilst my plant based tonics are probably some of the most fundamental products people should be taking and it’s a time for opportunity, I have felt the need to look after myself and my family. We are back on the gram and to ensure we are here bigger and stronger than ever.

21.01.2022 Hey! For all of the new followers who have not met me or know who I am - I am Sophie Todd aka Mrs Toddy. I am a local Sydneysider who accidentally became a beverage manufacturer. After incorporating Jamu into my diet whilst living in Bali throughout 2016, coming home to Sydney I could not find any fresh and tasty turmeric tonics in Sydney at all. I would lie awake at night with this burning urge to make turmeric tonics on a commercial level. ... Fast forward 3 years and that is exactly where I am making plant based health tonics and selling them to stores throughout Australia. My mission is to create affordable plant based tonics for everyone to consume on a daily basis. Our tonics are NOT fermented they brewed using the same methods from 2000 years ago in Indonesia. We have created our own unique formulas based on traditional plant based medicine. We are not juice disguised as tonic, like most other brands in the market we are 100% genuine, creating products without sugar and preservatives. 19.01.2022 Out beyond the ideas of wrong doing and rightdoing, there is a field, I will meet you there. - R U M I I constantly feel homesick for Bali right now. I miss the smells, riding on my scooter and living in the moment. Although the little things were always difficult that are simplistic at home, as as a family we just felt free. Free of guilt, free to do what pleased us and not others. That’s the way life should be. In the end does it really matter who was right ? It shouldn’t we should just accept people’s differences and not judge them for it. I look forward to going back to Bali one day and simply being in the moment.

17.01.2022 Sunday mornings in isolation. We are loving our pea mash on toast with edamame and @meredithdairy goats cheese. Our pea mash recipe is as follows: 2 cups of peas 1/2 cup of edamame beans... 4 slices of seeded whole meal bread @bakersdelight Meredith Valley Goats Cheese to garnish as desired Boil water in a saucepan Add 2 x cups of peas A 1/2 cup of edamame beans Boil until tender. Meanwhile toast your toast in the toaster. Strain peas then return them to the pot and mash them. Place peas ontop of toast and garnish with goats cheese. I couldn’t find Readily made fresh Jamu (turmeric tonic) in stores in Australia. Suffering from chronic back and monthly hormonal pain I drank Jamu every morning with my coffee as a daily health tonic. It aided with my aches and pains and I completely forgot about them. ... What started as a feel good product for myself, started being made for a few friends within the community. This grew to a small market stall at the markets and gaining some local stockists on the way. Fast forward 2.5 years and my product is still made the same way from kitchen to commercial pot. We have maintained the activated properties and refined the taste to make it a delicious beverage. I use only natural ingredients no sugars or synthetic sweetners just fresh ingredients. I ensure we source ethical and natural products and use the highest quality products. I continues to focus on creating a brand that creates a functional health lifestyle for her customers.
