25.01.2022 HOUSE FIRE I #Glenmore At 9:59am Sydney Fire Communications - Fire Rescue NSW - 801 Station received calls to a house alight on Moores Way Glenmore. Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 088 Campbelltown and RFS were responded.... Fire and Rescue NSW crews are currently onscene. Update to follow. INCIDENT UPDATE. A fire burning in a cottage has now been extinguished. There are no reports of injuries at the scene. #wollondilly

25.01.2022 Did you know the there are many fire services protecting the communities of NSW. Alot of media is given to the main fire service but when a fire breaks out it is a team effort from every fire service to contain the blaze. Sydney Trains has their own fire station manned by professional fire fighters ready to respond to fires across the rail network.... Last week they worked tirelessly to protect the rail corridor in the Waterfall area.
25.01.2022 ASSIST AMBULANCE I #Casula Around 10am our crew were requested by #NSWAmbulance to assist lifting an occupant who had a possible Cardiac Arrest and was injured ...in their own home. Fire and Rescue NSW works closely with NSW Ambulance to assist when people have fallen or have a medical issue in their home and cannot get up. Often people are upstairs. Fire and Rescue NSW provides rescue equipment and personnel to safely move these people so Ambulance Paramedics can continue treatment. Today we were responded with 101 Fire and Rescue Bonnyrigg Heights to a member of the public requiring rescuing from in their home and was transported to hospital. 23.01.2022 CAT RESCUE I #Bankstown Shortly before midday Fire and Rescue St Andrews was called to Bankstown to assist in cat rescue. A cat had immediately to the top of a ...pine tree and had been trapped for three days. We were joined by Kograh fire and Rescue bronto fire truck. Due to limited access were were unable to set up our aerial pumper and we utilised Kograh Bronto to reach the cat. The cat was safely rescued from the tree and reunited with its owners for a good feed and rest.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were able to quickly gain access to rather room and free the occupants.

20.01.2022 BUSHFIRE I #StAndrews With the weather warming up we are seeing an increase in the number of bush and grass fires we are attending. At 3:48pm we were responded... along with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 088 Campbelltown to Spitfire Dr St Andrews to reports of a bushfire. An area of bush and grass was extinguished. There was no damage to properties.

19.01.2022 PROTECTING THE IRREPLACEABLE I #Macarthur It has been a busy couple of shifts for our #RescuePumper responding across the Macarthur. Across Fire and Rescue NS...W Macarthur we have had approximately 110 #FireAndRescue trucks respond to emergency incidents and #ProtectTheMacarthur in 48 hours. Fire and Rescue NSW 000 has assigned us to #RescueIncidents in #Campbelltown, #Gilead and #Bradbury as well #GasLeaks in #GregoryHills and #MountAnnan just to list a few. Thanks to our colleagues from Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 088 Campbelltown, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 087 Rosemeadow, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 092 St Andrews, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 007 Horningsea Park and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 008 Liverpool who have all assisted our local community at incidents in #Narellan, #GregoryHill and #NarellanVale and #OranPark.
18.01.2022 Local Fire and Rescue NSW Station 087 Rosemeadow Fire Fighter received the highest fire service honor for her years of research into protecting fire fighters. Michelle was awarded the Australian Fire Service Medal which is the highest level of recognition bestowed on fire fighters. Her selfless work has led to the better protection of every fire fighter in NSW and Australia... Since 2016, Senior Firefighter Engelsman has undertaken ground-breaking research into firefighter’s exposure to carcinogens and other contaminants. Her research program has attracted external funding to support the comprehensive analysis of firefighters, fire stations, fire trucks, personal protective clothing and our policies and procedures. Senior Firefighter Engelsman’s PhD program of studies, sponsored by FRNSW, has been the catalyst for agency-wide risk mitigation activity. She has also presented at national conferences and events, won an award at the 2018 Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Council (AFAC) Conference, and authored/co-authored numerous academic articles about the health risks to firefighters from their cumulative exposure to toxic smoke and chemicals. Senior Firefighter Engelsman’s commitment to reducing the risks of her co-workers has led to enhanced protocols being included in FRNSW’s firefighter recruitment and other training/awareness courses. Her research and findings are also informing FRNSW’s decisions on fire station design, safety and hygiene protocols, equipment procurement and management, and laundering practices. Ground-breaking bio-sampling of firefighters and follow up pathology analysis has also led to Senior Firefighter Engelsman’s participation in the development of a new standard for firefighting ensembles, both structural and wildfire.

18.01.2022 SHOPPING TROLLEY FIRE I #MINTO Fire and Rescue St Andrews Fire Fighters are never surprised with what we are called to attend. Shortly after 10pm tonight we wer...e called to a fire burning on Townsend Ave Minto. When Fire and Rescue crews arrived we found a shopping trolley well alight. Despite our best efforts the shopping trolley and its contents were destroyed in the blaze.
17.01.2022 DONESTIC RESCUE I #Thirmere At 8:16pm Picton Fire & Rescue Station 421 was responded to Gordon St Thirlmere where a man suffering a medical condition was trapped in his house. Fire and Rescue NSW crews developed and extrication plan to remove the man where he could be transported to hospital by ambulance.... The man was safely released and is now being treated by NSW Ambulance. #wollondilly #rescue
17.01.2022 GRASS FIRE I #OranPark We had an enquiry about why Fire and Rescue NSW Station 101 Bonnyrigg Heights where responding through Oran Park?? At 4pm today Fire and ...Rescue NSW received reports of a grass fire in #RedmanGrange Oran Park. As our #RescuePumper was committed at a long duration incident over at Ruse our communications centre had sent #Bonnyrigg Heights to cover our fire and rescue area. Through automatic vehicle locating systems #FRNSW had firefighters on scene in approximately 12 minutes and extinguished a small mulch fire. Thanks 101 station for covering our area. #FireRescueNSW #ProtectingMacarthur
17.01.2022 HOUSE FIRE I #Picton At 9:53pm Sydney Fire Communications - Fire Rescue NSW - 801 Station received calls to a house alight on Kent Rd Picton. Picton Fire & Rescue Station 421 and Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden and RFs were responded.... Fire and Rescue NSW crews arrived to find a fire burning in a room of the house. Fire and Rescue NSW crews in Breathing apparatus worked to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading. The house was ventilated to remove smoke. Investigations into the cause of the blaze are continuing.

Late this afternoon we responded to a two car accidebt with a pregnant woman injured. And this evening we have responded to a car fire and a spill all on Ben Lomand Rd. Our crew has also responded to an alarm in minto and a power board alight in a house in Willowdale.

Upon arrival... we discovered an elderly driver still in his vehicle but thankfully not injured or trapped. We commenced assessment of the driver and rendering the scene safe. Fire and Rescue NSW Station 092 St Andrews and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 093 Narellan primary rescue unit responded.... The child was released without injury and NSW Ambulance crews conducted a medical assessment.

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 008 Liverpool and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 007 Horningsea Park responded and on arrival found a fire in the kitchen of a residential house.... Fire and Rescue NSW crews extinguished a fire burning in the kitchen and ventilated to property. Fire and Rescue Macarthur would like to remind everyone that the kitchen is one of the most common causes of house hold fires. At 11:30am today Sydney Fire Communications - Fire Rescue NSW - 801 Station received nearly 100 triple 0 calls to a grass fire burning on the M7 near Cecil Hills. Fire and Rescue NSW Bonnyrigg Heights station and the RFS were responded.... Fire and Rescue NSW crews arrived to find an area of grass and bush alight. The fire was extinguished and the RFS are remaining to black out the area.

The temperature in a car on a 40 deg day can rise within minutes to cause a life threatening situation. Never leave your pets or children in a locked car. If your kids get accidentally locked in the car call 000 and ask for assistance.

Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden were responded and onscene with minutes to find a garbage trucks load had caught alight and was well involved in fire.... The load was dumped and Fire and Rescue NSW crews worked to extinguish the fire. Please be careful with what you dispose of in your rubbish. This is the second garbage truck fire that Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden has attended in the past weeks. With these trucks costing many hundreds of thousands of dollars to replace preventing these fires from starting cost saving to all of us. 03.01.2022 It's been an interesting day so far for our team: Call 1: Gas leak - home handyman cut through the refrigeration lines on an industrial fridge. Please check wit...h qualified tradesmen before cutting any pipe or cable. Call 2: House fire - the resident selected the wrong cooking time on the microwave and set fire to her lunch and filled the house with smoke. Please check the timer before selecting start. Call 3: Flooding - a pipe on a hydrant booster had come loose and was spraying water high into the air. Water turned off by FRNSW. Call 4: Smoke alarm operating at a local school. Investigation carried out and system reset. FRNSW - Prepared for anything!

On arrival Fire and Rescue NSW crews found a three car accident with on person trapped. Fire and Rescue crews worked to free the person who was transported to hospital.
