25.01.2022 MSA has become aware of systematic technology issues preventing students from commencing or completing their online exams. If you are facing issues with your e-assessments please ensure you document the issues you’re facing with photos and screenshots. We will be engaging with the University to achieve a solution that protects academic outcomes and ensures no student is penalised by this issue.... Monash E-Solutions may be able to provide immediate support, but be aware there is significant student demand meaning you may struggle to speak to a member of the E-Solutions team. Beyond E-Solutions, feel free to reach out to MSA Advocacy and Support. msa.monash.edu/services/student-advocacy-support/ monash.edu/exams/electronic-exams/help

15.01.2022 If you're unwell over the exam period and hoping to apply for special consideration, try and apply as soon as possible. You'll need to get a Medical Certificate that fits with the Uni's strict requirements. And what if you fall sick DURING an exam? This can be a lot trickier. The Uni recommends you complete the exam if at all possible, because "in most circumstances, if you turn up to your exam and have seen and/or attempted to answer the exam questions, you won't be eligible... for a deferred exam." If you really can't continue, inform your online supervisor or call the IT Service Desk ASAP, and then obtain a medical certificate on the same day. For more information on medical certificate requirements, see the Spec Con webpage: monash.edu/exams/changes/special-consideration And if you need help or advice regarding your application, book an appointment with MSA Student Advocacy and Support msa.monash.edu/services/student-advocacy-support/

15.01.2022 Dealing with technical problems during your eExam can be daunting, so it's important you know what steps to take if you do experience issues. Having this log is ESSENTIAL to providing evidence if you need to apply for special consideration. For more info on special consideration, follow the Uni requirements here: monash.edu/exams/changes/special-consideration And remember, you can always make an appointment with MSA Student Advocacy and Support if you need help: msa.monash.edu/services/student-advocacy-support/

For supervised eExams: Inform your online Supervisor that you require medical support, and the Supervisor may be able to arrange for medical support to contact you. For unsupervised eExams or Department-run exams: Contact the IT Service Desk, who may triage your call regarding medical support.... If you become sick during your exam make sure you follow University instructions and then obtain a medical certificate on the same day. There are strict guidelines that you need to follow: https://www.monash.edu/exams/changes/special-consideration Please note the webpage also states: "We recommend you try to finish your exam if you are able, because in most circumstances, if you turn up to your exam and have seen and/or attempted to answer the exam questions, you won't be eligible for a deferred exam."
