24.01.2022 COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT | Basketball SA has submitted framework to SA Health and the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing outlining our proposed return to basketball. The department will be guided by changes to Federal Government policy including the lifting of restrictions and access to stadiums. Any return to basketball will be staged at 1. 22.01.2022 COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT | The state government has today released the South Australian roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions. Indoor sport, including basketball currently sits within step 2 of the roadmap forecast to begin 8 June. Whilst the announcement of the roadmap is encouraging we continue to wait on approval of our proposed return to basketball framework submitted earlier this week to SA Health and the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. We look forward to returning to train, returning to play, and will update our community as we have more information to share.

17.01.2022 The State Government has today announced an update to the COVID-19 easing of restrictions. Step 2 of the State Government's roadmap will now begin from 5 June, which means stadiums will open a few days earlier than expected Basketball SA will release Return to Basketball - Indoor Training Guidelines prior to 5 June. All indoor trainings will be held under strict protocols, in line with government guidelines to ensure the safety of our basketball community. 07.01.2022 MEET, TRAIN, GO | Last week, the State Government announced the South Australian roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions. Step 1, from 11 May allows for a return to training outdoors. Effective immediately, clubs and associations can commence outdoor training for junior and senior teams in groups of 10 participants per court, plus 2 staff. All trainings will be held under strict protocols, in line with government guidelines to ensure the safety of our basketball community. P...lease refer to the Basketball SA Return to Train - Outdoor Guidelines on our website for more information. At this stage, indoor training will not be permitted and stadiums will remain closed until June 8. Basketball SA continues to work closely with the State Government on a structured plan for a return to basketball, and will provide updates to our community as we have more information to share.
